Air India will restart flight operations from the UAE on 24th June
According to an official announcement released on 23rd June, India’s national carrier Air India will restart flight operations from the UAE on 24th June, weeks after the UAE stopped incoming flights from India owing to a spike in coronavirus infections.
On 23rd June, an official statement was released. Passengers from India with a valid resident visa who have received two doses of a UAE-approved vaccination will be able to travel to Dubai, according to the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai.
“All Air India flights will operate from Terminal 1 of Dubai International Airport from June 24, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. (DXB). All travelers scheduled to fly on or after June 24 should report at Dubai Terminal-1, according to an Air India announcement.
Passengers who are scheduled to fly on or after June 24 should report at Dubai Terminal 1. Meanwhile, Air India Express flights departing from Dubai would continue to operate from Terminal 2 in Dubai.
Due to an increase in coronavirus infections, the UAE’s General Authority of Civil Aviation and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) stated on April 24 that all inbound flights on national and international carriers will be halted from India.
Emirates Airlines operations to India began flying operations on June 23. The airline praised Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management for announcing new rules and safeguards that would allow passengers to fly safely from South Africa, Nigeria, and India to Dubai and beyond.
“A negative test certificate from a PCR test conducted 48 hours before travel should also be shown. From the 23rd of June, we will begin transporting passengers from South Africa, Nigeria, and India in line with these protocols “Emirates stated.
