Speaking to the ISRO scientists in Bengaluru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attributed the awakening of an entire generation and the lasting impact on young minds to the efforts of the ISRO team. Praising the scientists responsible for India's triumphant lunar mission, PM Modi stated, "You took 'Make in India' to the moon," during his address to the ISRO scientists in Bengaluru. In recognition of the accomplishment of the Chandrayaan-3 lander, PM Modi unveiled the designation 'Shivshakti' for the landing site of the Vikram lander. This announcement was made during his speech at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking & Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru. Furthermore, PM Modi revealed that the crash landing site of Chandrayaan-2 would be named the 'Tiranga point'. He highlighted that Chandrayaan-2 had left its mark on the lunar surface back in 2019 and acknowledged the contributions of the women scientists at ISRO to India's successful lunar mission. Following his two-nation visit to Greece and South Africa, PM Modi paid a congratulatory visit to Bengaluru to celebrate the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3's lander on August 23. Upon his arrival at the ISRO headquarters on Saturday morning, he received a warm welcome. During the visit, PM Modi engaged with the team of scientists from the Indian Space Research Organisation who had been integral to the mission's success. Even while attending the 15th BRICS Summit in South Africa, he virtually witnessed the historic landing of the Vikram lander on the Moon alongside the ISRO team. ISRO Chairman S Somanath personally welcomed the Prime Minister, and the two exchanged a heartfelt hug as a gesture of celebration for the accomplishment of the ambitious lunar landing mission. PM Modi also participated in a group photograph with the team of dedicated scientists responsible for the project.
