Bangaluru-Mysuru Expressway Inauguration: Pm Modi Opens it on March 11

On March 11 in Mandya district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway. Pratap Simha, the MP for Mysuru-Kodagu, told the media that the information was right. In approximately 90 minutes, it will link the state capital of Karnataka with the ancient city of Mysuru.

Depending on the speed of the vehicle, it will be feasible to travel the 143 kilometres between Bengaluru and Mysuru in about one and a half hours. The motorway runs from Bengaluru’s NICE entrance to Mysuru’s Ring Road junction.

The motorway project consists of two packages; the first runs for around 56 km from Bengaluru to Nidaghatta in the Maddur taluk, while the second runs for 61 km from Nidaghatta to Mysuru. More than 8,000 crores is spent on the project.

The toll fees for using the motorway were announced by the National Authority of India (NHAI). For the initial section of the motorway from Bengaluru to Nidaghatta in the Mandya district, the toll is being collected at the Sheshagirihalli toll plaza.

It has been decided to begin collecting the toll this morning following a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police Ramanagara.

Cars will pay a toll levy of Rs. 135 for a single trip and Rs. 205 if they return on the same day, according to the authority. When the second stretch is opened, it may rise to Rs. 250.

Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group, also posted a video earlier on Twitter that featured amazing drone pictures of the Bengaluru–Mysuru motorway and demonstrated the development of India’s infrastructure. He affirmed that the images serve as a potent signal of how India is developing an infrastructure that meets international standards.

Local commercial vehicle rates are lower on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway.

The toll for a car, jeep, or van is Rs 135 for one way travel, Rs 205 for round-trip travel within a single day, and Rs 4,525 for a monthly pass that covers 50 one-way travels every month.
It is Rs 220, Rs 330, and Rs 7,315 for LCV/LGV/minibus; Rs 460, Rs 690, and Rs 15,325 for truck/bus; Rs 500, Rs 750, and Rs 16,715 for commercial vehicle with three axles; Rs 720, Rs 1,080, and Rs 24,030 for heavy construction machinery/earth moving equipment; and Rs 880, Rs 1,315, and Rs 29,255 for oversized vehicle with seven or more axles.
Local commercial vehicles registered in the district where the plaza is located are subject to lower fees: a car, jeep, or van costs Rs 70; an LCV or LGV costs Rs 110; and a truck or bus costs Rs 230.
According to the press release, three axles cost Rs 250, heavy construction costs Rs 360, and seven or more axles cost Rs 440. The public can make complaints by dialling 1033.
