Day Trading Guide for Today: Six Stocks to Buy or Sell on Friday — 15th September
Written by Sanjay Kumar
After a robust global market performance, Dalal Street witnessed a spirited rally on Thursday (September 14). In a noteworthy turn of events, NSE Nifty and BSE Sensex scaled new peaks, while Bank Nifty came tantalizingly close to its all-time high. However, the broader market indices outshone the key benchmarks, with both small-cap and mid-cap stocks surging by more than one percent during Thursday’s trading.
Siddhartha Khemka, Head of Retail Research at Motilal Oswal, noted, “Nifty reached new highs yesterday, closing with a gain of 33 points at 20,103 levels, as India’s WPI inflation stayed negative for the 5th consecutive month in August. The broader market outperformed, with Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 up 1%. Most sectors ended in the green, with buying observed in PSU Banks, Realty, Auto, and Metals. Overall, we anticipate the market to maintain its positive trend, supported by robust domestic macroeconomic data. Nevertheless, bouts of volatility cannot be ruled out, given mixed global cues.”
Day Trading Guide for the Stock Market Today
Nifty Outlook
Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, shared his insights on Nifty’s outlook for the day. He stated, “After surging to new all-time highs above 19,990 levels, the market appears to have encountered resistance in breaking decisively into new all-time highs over the past few sessions. Consequently, any pullback from here could bring Nifty closer to the immediate support level of approximately 19,950. A decisive upward move above 20,200 levels is expected to propel Nifty towards the next hurdle at 20,450 levels.”
Bank Nifty Outlook
Ashwin Ramani, Derivatives & Technical Analyst at SAMCO Securities, offered his perspective on Bank Nifty. He remarked, “Bank Nifty continued its ascent in a higher high formation on the daily chart for the sixth consecutive day, closing at 46,001, up by 91 points. Today, the index formed a doji pattern, indicative of indecision. The 46,300 level on the upside will be a critical marker for Bank Nifty, featuring multiple resistance zones. If Bank Nifty confidently breaches the 46,300 mark, it could signify the beginning of an exciting new rally.”
