Flipkart hold Adani Group hands to set up Logistics & Data Centers

Flipkart & Adani Group comes together
Flipkart is the country’s largest e-commerce company and Gujarat-based Adani Group has entered into a strategic and commercial partnership for logistics and data centre businesses. With the promise to build up thousands of jobs for youth.
The strategic & commercial partnership will witness the setting up of a 5.34 lakh square feet logistics hub in Mumbai and Flipkart developing its third data centre at the AdaniConnecX, its Chennai-based facility, as a part of its private cloud deployments in India.
The partnership between Flipkart and Adani Group will create 2,500 direct and thousands of indirect jobs.
Flipkart and Adani group’s entity Adani Logistics Ltd will work together to give speed to the supply chain, infrastructure and enhance Flipkart’s ability to serve its customers.
Gautam Adani, said, “Flipkart is our new strategic partner. In the two-prong organization, AdaniConneX will build their new Tier 4 data centre and Adani Logistics will develop their 534,000 square feet data centre through this partnership, we will create thousands of new jobs in the country”.
Chief Executive Officer of Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, Mr. Karan Adani, said, “This wide-ranging partnership across our logistics and data centre businesses is a business model that is unique in the country, and we found this one as a vast opportunity to provide Flipkart’s physical as well as digital infrastructure needs.
“We anticipate a long and productive partnership as we focus on wisdom from each other as well as leveraging our mutual strengths to prioritize consumers and development of India’s MSME ecosystem”.
The centre is expected to be operational in the 3rd quarter of next year and it will fulfill the capacity to house 10 million units of sellers’ inventory. It can be anticipated to create over 2,500 direct jobs and 1000’s oblique jobs.
