Hyatt to widen India footprint with 24 new Hotels & 3,600 rooms over 3 years

- Hyatt Corporation plans to open 24 new hotels in India over the next 36 months.
- The company is also aiming to add 3,600 rooms in their upcoming 24 new hotels.
- 6 new hotels are set to open in 2021 under the Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Place brands.
Hyatt Corporation is famous for its Hotels & Resorts, it is a multinational American hospitality organization headquartered in Chicago. Hyatt Corporation has a plan to add 24 new hotels in various states of India over the next 36 months, the number of Hyatt-branded hotels in the country is more than fifty.
Dhruva Rathore (Senior company executive) said “the company is at a quite impressive stage of growth in Hyatt’s evolution in India, and if you look at the coming months, we are together to boost our growth by add 24 new hotels,”.
Dhruva Rathore said that “India remained a growth driver for Hyatt, the Indian brand portfolio would be growing by more than 70% through 2023. On this project, 6 new hotels are set to open in 2021 under the Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Place brands.
India is currently counted in the top 3 growth markets worldwide, we are currently running 7,000 rooms across its existing portfolio of 32 hotels across 8 brands are as follows: –
- Park Hyatt
- Grand Hyatt
- Hyatt Regency
- Hyatt Centric
- Hyatt Place Brand
Our 24 new hotels across the country including Vadodara, Jaipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Vijayawada, Bharuch, Dehradun, Bodh Gaya, Chandigarh, Ghaziabad, Bengaluru, Surat and Tirupati, the company will add 3,600 more rooms”.
In 1957, the Hyatt Corporation came into existence by purchasing the Hyatt House, at International Airport in L.A. In 1969, Hyatt began expanding internationally, company has lengthened by developing new properties and through acquisition, with the high revenue coming from the acquisition of AmeriSuites in 2004 (rebranded Hyatt Place), Summerfield Suites in 2005 (rebranded Hyatt House), and Two Roads Hotels in 2018. Hyatt has tentatively 100,000 employees worldwide servicing nearly 900 properties across 20 brands in 60 countries, As of September 30, 2019.
