ICC T20 WC Final, Australia vs New Zealand playing11, Key players, pitch report
By Sanjay Maurya
Only two nations left in the T20 World Cup 2021 after 44 matches and 27 days. The showpiece event began as a 16-team competition in Oman and will conclude on Sunday in Dubai with the New Zealand vs Australia final. While New Zealand has made it to the final for the first time, Australia will be competing in the showpiece event for the second time. They came close to capturing the trophy in 2010 but were defeated by Ashes rivals England in the final. As a consequence, both sides are vying for the T20 WC Trophy for the first time.
Meanwhile, Kane Williamson’s New Zealand team has a chance to achieve something unprecedented in cricket history. If New Zealand defeats Australia in Sunday’s final, they would become the first team to win two ICC titles in the same year. This is the first time in the history of the T20 World Cup that no Asian side has reached the final two years in a row. The 2016 T20 World Cup final included non-Asian teams West Indies and England, while this year final will have two non-Asian nations.

Pitch report
The Dubai International Stadium’s pitch is ideal for batting. However, dew plays a significant role in this game, and the side batting second has the upper hand. The spinners will have an easier time bowling the middle overs due to the favourable conditions. The fast bowlers will have an advantage in the first few overs due to the conditions. On this ground, the toss is critical.
Key Players
In the World Cup, Adam Zampa has been Australia’s X-factor. In good circumstances for a spin, Zampa has squeezed every ounce of assistance from the UAE surfaces, placing him second on the list of greatest wicket-takers in the World Cup so far with 12 wickets at a miserly 5.69 economy rate. Southee has been the backbone of New Zealand’s World Cup bowling lineup. Although he has only eight wickets in six games, his 5.75 economy rate has helped the Black Caps turn the screws in the Powerplay and middle overs.
