INDIA log 1,581 new COVID-19 cases and 33 deaths
India reported 1,581 new covid- 19 cases that are sky-high in number in comparison to the previous day’s record as per the Union health minister on Tuesday. The total infection count has been extended up to 4,30,10,971 and the active cases further decrease by 23, 913.
Today at 8 am, the data updated by the ministry declared that the death toll has become 5,16,543 with 33 regular deaths that on calculation reveals that COVID-19 active cases consist 0.06 % of the total infection, and the recovery rate has been 98.74%. According to the health minister, the daily Covid-19 positive cases recorded about has increased up to 0.28 % and the weekly record sees about 0.39 per cent increase.
In the last 24 hours, data collected shows that a total of 5,68,471 Covid-19 tests are being conducted and India has conducted over 78.36 crore cumulative tests so far. The cumulative dose applied across the country to date for covid- 19 vaccination has exceeded 181.56 crores.
India’s previous year Coronavirus (COVID- 19) infection records show that it crossed over 20 lakh mark on 7 August 2020, 30 lakh on 23 August, 40 lakh on 5 September and 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November and crossed over 1 Crore mark on 19 December. India surpassed 10,147, 468 confirmed covid-19 cases on 7 January 2021, 11,846,096 on 25 March, 30,278,986 on 27 June 2021, and crossed 33,678,703 cases on 27 September, 34,838,804 on 31 December,2021 and on 19 January 2022 India crossed 37, 901,241, and on February 2022 crossed 28 42,924,130.
India stands seventy-third among the most affected countries in terms of active cases and the third country in the world concerning death and the second in terms of total recovery cases. India’ s recovery rate stands at 98.74% but the death rate remains unchanged i.e. 1.2%. On Tuesday, India shows a net decrease of 1,193 active cases in comparison to 1,134 cases on Monday. The net increase in active cases has only been seen in States and Uts- 10% in Delhi, 3% in Goa, 5% in Nagaland and 1.83% in Maharashtra.
The overall increase in cases comprised of 1,581 new covid-19 cases and 33 death mainly hails from five states that are- Kerala with 495 active cases, Mizoram 287, Maharashtra 99, and 73 cases from Telangana. The surge in the cases has been foreseen as the onset of the fourth wave of the pandemic; hence, appropriate precautionary measures should be adopted by all.
