Over 70,000 Indian exporters who are part of Amazon’s Worldwide Selling programme are set to display millions of “Made in India” items to global shoppers during the annual Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale, according to the company. The Black Friday and Cyber Monday (BFCM) sale will start on November 25 and end on November 29. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are major events in the United States that signal the start of the Christmas season.
For the 2018 Christmas season, Indian exporters will introduce 52,000 new goods on Amazon’s worldwide platforms in categories such as STEM toys, fashion, home and kitchen, beauty and furnishings, jewellery, health and personal care, and office supplies. Skillmatics (sells toys that help youngsters develop fundamental abilities), Virgin Crafts and Stylore (clothing companies), Vahdam (bespoke crockery producers), and Slurrp Farm are some of Amazon Global Selling’s most popular Indian brands (sells healthy food products made using millets and natural sugars).
Amazon works with Indian exporters to identify key holiday shopping trends so they can bring in relevant product assortment; supports them with logistics solutions so they can get their inventory ready; and guides them to market their products through a variety of deals and advertising options, according to an official Amazon release.
The BFCM sale ushers in the Christmas season throughout the world. With more and more people relying online on items internationally, we expect that the 2021 BFCM sale period would help accelerate the exports business for our sellers, said Amazon India Director of Global Trade Abhijit Kamra.
E-commerce Exports help decrease the entrance barrier for Indian MSMEs to develop and expand their export company, Kamra continued. We will continue to make exporting easy and accessible for MSMEs across India through Amazon Global Selling, and we will contribute to the Government’s aim of expanding exports.
Skillmatics, which offers a broad selection of engaging toys that assist children to improve essential skills through the joy of play, is one of the worldwide recognized Indian businesses from Amazon Global Selling that will be presenting their unique products and inventions this holiday season. Their most recent holiday releases include educational science kits in Build and Play formats (Buildables series) and family-friendly interactive treasure hunt card games.
Clothing firms such as Virgin Crafts and Stylore will be displaying their special holiday shirts and scarves, while Vahdam will be showcasing its new and exclusive bespoke TeaGift Sets, which are a selection of carefully picked wellness teas packaged in gorgeous gift sets.
