“We began by offering gym equipment sales and leasing, which quickly expanded to include manpower services for gyms, spas, salons, wellness centres, and medical centers. The beginning of 2024 marked a big shift in technology. Medifit also underwent a big tech shift as they launched their new app, MiBoSo. MiBoSo enhances its corporate wellness solutions with features like performance tracking, heart rate monitoring, a leadership board, and access to wellness events and online sessions. It empowers employees to improve their health and fosters community and competition.

The app’s e-commerce platform and loyalty points system incentivize continuous engagement, promoting long-term health habits. By leveraging data analytics from MiBoSo, they aim to personalise wellness programmes and anticipate future trends, enabling them to scale their offerings and set industry standards for innovation in corporate wellness across India. More updates would be ensured to the app over the course of time to improve the user experience as per the tech upgrades.

ATTAINING MAJOR MILESTONES

Within a short span of time, Medifit made its name in this niche. The journey began with Wipro GE, their first customer in Bangalore. After the execution of their very first project, they expanded rapidly, and by 2007, their revenue reached Rs. 1 crore, which drew market attention. They had more than 70 centres in 2010; by 2016, they had surpassed 150 centres; and by 2018, they had 250 centres with a revenue of Rs. 9.8 crores.

In fitness centres, gamification technology was adopted in the same year. They created the MiBoSo App between 2020 and 2022, fusing wellness activities with performance tracking. The app was launched this year after refining its features. They have now expanded to 183+ centres in 17 locations in FY 2023–2024, generating a revenue of Rs. 25 crore.

FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE

Strategic growth and innovation are two of Medifit’s core futuristic goals. “We aim to enhance market capture and revenue growth by diversifying into residential complexes, hotels, and other non-traditional sectors where wellness is increasingly valued,” the luminaries said while discussing their future ambitions. “We have kept cross-border business models on our radar.

To serve the needs of international business markets, we have created an efficient model. As we continue to improve the MiBoSo App and include more AI-driven analytics to tailor user experiences and maximise operational efficiency, technological optimisation remains a key component of our approach.

Also, we are now considering improving our digital presence through enhanced online platforms for wellness products and services. Sustainability initiatives and promoting eco-friendly practices within our facilities and operations are also our core focal points for the future.”
