Amazon joins the food delivery business in Bengaluru and giving competitions to Swiggy & Zomato

In the battle for a highly competitive food delivery Industry, which is a space dominated by well-established players Swiggy and Zomato, there is a new entry strong entrant – Amazon. World-renowned e-commerce company Amazon is also planning to try their hands in food delivery in India.
The company is already planning this food delivering pilot project in the IT capital of India, Bangalore. In the beginning, the Information on food delivery is in selected areas. However, the big tycoons like Swiggy and Zomato have already established themselves in the food delivery industry. But this industry is not so easy and due to intense competition in the sector, they have not made a single rupee profit in the market. Similarly, Uber Eats unable to cope in this competition and sold its food delivery business unit, Uber Eats, to Zomato and quit the industry altogether.
On the other hand, Amazon, which has little to zero investment in the food industry is reportedly trying to gain a new foothold in the food delivery domain. That is why Amazon has already consolidated its delivery of Amazon Now within two hours, says that it is focusing on food delivery.
Delivery to its own employees first, Amazon launched a new project in Bengaluru is now offering food delivery services to its own employees. Therefore, it is also expected that the pros and cons of the sector will be fully evaluated later on. As part of this industry, the company has been delivering its food in the eastern suburb Marathahalli, Whitefield, HSR, Bellandur, and Haraloor in Bangalore city.
It is also reported that two restaurants have entered by them into an agreement. For Amazon’s new business services, they are trying to bring hotels and restaurants to the Amazon Food Delivery platform. This new start is a joint venture of Infosys Narayana Murthy’s investment company of Catamaran and Amazon India.
