BluSmart is an all-electric ride-hailing platform that has raised $7 million in funding from multiple investors which includes Inflection Point Ventures, Venture Catalysts, Survam Partners, Mumbai Angels, Chhatisgarh Investments Ltd., JITO Angels, Lets Venture Fund, and Kaplavriksh Fund.
The company BluSmart will be utilizing the funds in expanding the number of cars on the platform, setting up more charging infrastructure, technology improvements, and expanding the geographical reach. There are also discussions going on to raise venture debt. The company last year had raised $3 million in a seed round in Sept 2019.
The Co-Founder of BluSmart Mobility, Anmol Singh Jagga states about the freshly raised capital saying in a statement that, “We aim at bringing in a new narrative in the EV mobility space by giving the highest quality service as evidenced by our app rating, which is highest amongst all ride-sharing platforms and thus, transforming India’s mega-cities by providing convenient, sustainable and affordable mobility with great benefits for consumers, businesses and society at large.”
Adding to that, Punit K Goyal, Co-Founder, BluSmart Mobility says that, “Electric mobility is the next big thing in India. BluSmart aims to improve the status of commuting and curbing the burden on the environment caused due to transport running on fuel combustion. We are also looking at augmenting the EV uptake by expanding fast electric car charging infrastructure for an easy charging practice”.
A full safer and sanitized electric cabs are being offered by the company to the consumers in Delhi NCR. The startup is planning to add more electric cars and charging stations on its all-electric ride-sharing platform in 2021. The company had recently launched the BluSmart Hourly Rentals product too.
All kinds of safety measures and hygiene is been taken care of concerning the customers as well as drivers. All driver-partners will have their body-temperature checked before taking any duty and wellness status is made available to the riders through the BluSmart app. Moreover, the customers can also pre-order a mask on the BluSmart app while booking a ride.
All the cabs will be equipped with surface disinfectants along with hand-sanitizers which can be used by riders from the back seat.
