GLBIMR, Greater Noida is a leading B-School of North India offering Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD Govt. of India. GLBIMR, established in 2007, under the umbrella of GL Bajaj Group of Institutions, embarked on the journey to promote higher education in NCR. In the record time of 10 years, the institute has demonstrated meteoric growth and has carved a distinct niche for itself in the field of management education. This year we have been ranked amongst the Top 4 Management Institutes in “Emerging Category” by AICTE-CII Survey of Industry-Linked Institutes, 2017.
We at GLBIMR, ensure that we are not restricted to classroom teaching, but look for overall development of students. Skill Enhancement Program The inclusion of new course
Soft Skill Program (SSP)- To provide soft skills, which will holistically develop the personality of the students and nurture them to operate & manage in a global, multi-dimensional and cosmopolitan environment.
Introduction of Value Added Certification Courses In addition to the academic curriculum, following three certifications by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises have been introduced to improve domain knowledge:

IV. Professional Excellence for Corporate Readiness Certification (PECR)
V. Placement Readiness Enhancement Program (PREP) – (Scheduled during Nov 2017)
Introduction of Employability Enhancement Programs: GLBIMR has introduced multiple workshops and expert sessions for the students:
I. Sensitization workshops for Summer Internship Program & Final Placements
II. Group Discussion Skill Enhancement Workshops
III. Public Speaking Workshops
IV. Mock Interview Sessions
We also offer distinctive Corporate Mentorship Programs, in which each student is allotted a corporate and a faculty mentor. The mentors polish students on both academic and industry fronts. Apart from classroom learning, students get adequate exposure through live projects, Corporate Interface, Industrial visits, Dissertation, Summer Training, etc.
Additionally, our Soft Skills Program is an integral part of the curriculum with 3 credits assigned each semester. The modules are:
I. Igniting self and Interpersonal Skills: This module enhances the students’ belief in self, with several motivational and real-life examples to understand their SWOT (Strength, Weakness, and Opportunities & Threat).
II. Teams and Emotional Intelligence: This is a module aimed at helping students recognize their own emotions and the emotions of others in order to achieve their goals; team management through case discussions help them in real-world teams.
III. Resume Writing & Art of Converting SIP into PPO: This module emphasizes on developing skills for group discussions, facing, interviews, and delivering effective presentations to gain the demeanor of a seasoned professional and convert a Summer Internship Placement (SIP) into a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO).
IV. Art of Self-Branding for Successful Corporate Inning: To equip students with practical, effective communication skills, the module guides students to become active listeners with comprehension and understanding
V. Personal and Professional Excellence: It helps students to learn both personal and professional excellence through exposure to various selection procedures and interview techniques to become corporate ready.
Q 2. What are the novel initiatives that GLBIMR has taken as a B-School which stands apart from its league?
It has always been our focus as a leading B- School to enhance the skills and boost the employability of our students instead of providing a one-time placement. It has been a key decision to initiate:
• Corporate Interface Series: Designed and implemented to increase the exposure and industry outreach, each student in PGDM Programme is given multiple opportunities to visit Business Conferences, Seminars and Business Events organized by the leading Corporate Houses, Trade Bodies, Chamber of Commerce and Ministries of Government of India.
• Global Talk Series: It is a unique learning platform to provide global exposure to the students to interact with internationally renowned experts. The Global Talk Series is a unique component implemented to highlight major Global issues faced in modern-day management. During these highly interactive sessions, students discuss about alliances and acquisition, the impact of strategies on business operations both at the domestic & global front and prevalent changes in technology across the world.
• Expert Talk Series: When it comes to the demand of professionals in the market, one with the industry knowledge is at an edge as compared to others. It has been a key decision to invite speakers from reputed organizations to visit our campus and provide insightful information to students regarding current business trends helping them develop into well-rounded professionals.
• Club Activities: The present curriculum in most of the business schools is designed to evaluate candidates for their academic excellence, professional certifications and career progression and goals. But our impetus has also been upon adding multiple dimensions to the candidacy of the PGDM aspirants. The club activities are solely student-driven where events have been based on a varied spectrum of subjects ranging from Stock Market Trading & Portfolio Management, Advertisement & Marketing Campaigns, Extempore & Debate Competitions, Sports events and Volunteering & Community Service.
In my current association with GLBIMR, I focus on the triple dimensional approach in pedagogy based on Academic Excellence, Holistic Development and Corporate Readiness to facilitate the development of future Corporate Leaders.
As a leader, my foremost priorities are the Vision and the Values of the organization. Envisioning our goals give us a direction to channelize our efforts whereas having a strong value system results in Organizational Sustainability and Subsistence.
Q.3 What efforts has GL Bajaj incorporated to provide training to their faculty members, as they are the main Backbone of the Institution?
Currently, we have the best of the intellectual assets, from across the Academia & Industry associated with us, in the role of full-time adjunct faculty. We also have an association with very eminent & renowned global experts as our International adjunct faculty members like Mr. Ashish Patel, Managing Director, Morgan Franklin Consulting, USA, Dr. DjamchidAssadi, Professor, and Burgundy College of Business, France, Mr. HashanHaputhanthri, Head TVSL, Srilanka, amongst others.
The core faculty at GLBIMR is one strong team of highly skilled & learned professionals. We have with us a blend of seasoned academicians, mostly doctorate and rich experienced corporate leaders. The pedagogy is designed in a manner to prepare the students from the classroom to corporate. As faculty is the backbone of any academic institution, GLBIMR continuously strives hard towards its faculty development programmes. The purposes of FDP’s are to embellish teaching skills of faculty as well as motivate and encourage them to deliver their best.
They are being trained on the latest research methods and techniques so as to support them in their research endeavors which are the core value of GLBIMR to develop itself as a research-centric institute. The teaching staff is timely updated with new techniques and methods. We have also initiated the Participative Learning Program (PLP) in our campus so that all Faculty Members can imbibe peer- learning and add value to each other knowledge base.
