Star Air, Go First announce free travel to all India’s Olympic medalists 2021

Star Air, Go First announce free travel to all India’s Olympic medalists 2021
India finished the Tokyo Olympics with a record-breaking collection of seven medals, including gold. Go First, formerly known as GoAir, promised free travel for all medal winners for the next five years as a show of thanks.
Go First stated in a statement that it will provide free travel to “all medal-winners for the next five years till 2025” to remember India’s best-ever collection of seven Olympic medals.
The seven Olympics medallists are as follows: –
- Mirabai Chanu (weight-lifting)
- V.Sindhu (badminton)
- Lovlina Borgohain (boxing)
- The men’s hockey team
- Ravi Kumar Dahiya (wrestling)
- Bajrang Punia (wrestling)
- Neeraj Chopra (javelin throw)
Players will receive free flight travel for the next five years,” Go First stated.
The Tokyo 2020 medalists will receive a lifetime of free air travel, according to Star Air. A message from the airline’s Twitter handle said, Star Air wants to thank all the Indian Olympic Champions of Tokyo 2020.
Neeraj Chopra, a javelin thrower, became the second Indian to achieve an individual gold medal in the Olympics on August 7th. IndiGo, a budget carrier has announced that ‘Gold Medallist’ Neeraj Chopra would be given unlimited free travel for a year. From August 8, 2021, until August 7, 2022, the gift is valid.
Ronojoy Dutta, IndiGo’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), stated in a statement, we were all happy to hear about your amazing achievement, Neeraj. You have brought honor to the country, and I am confident that all IndiGo staff would be delighted to see you onboard one of our flights.
With great humility, we would like to give you a year of free IndiGo flights. You have proved what hard work, perseverance, and enthusiasm can accomplish, and I am confident that you will serve as a role model for future Indian sportsmen. He congratulated Neeraj on his work.
From Friday, February 4, 2022, to Sunday, February 20, 2022, the next Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing, China. The next Winter Olympics will be hosted in Beijing, China’s capital city, with most events taking place in Hebei province and a few in nearby cities.
