Stock Market Update: Top Gainers and Top Losers on 28 July 2023

In the dynamic world of financial markets, the 28th of July, 2023, witnessed notable movements as the Indian Rupee experienced a 28 paise fall against the US dollar in early trade, reaching a rate of 82.20. As investors closely monitored the day’s developments, the Nifty and Sensex exhibited noteworthy trends, with certain companies emerging as top gainers and others facing losses.
Among the major gainers on the Nifty were Dr Reddy’s Labs, Britannia Industries, Mahindra & Mahindra, Apollo Hospitals, and Divis Labs, while BPCL, Axis Bank, ONGC, Hindalco Industries, and Sun Pharma faced a decline in their stocks. Notably, the metal and oil & gas indices both fell by 0.5 percent each, whereas the bank index managed to rise by the same margin. The Nifty slid below 19,650, and the Sensex dropped over 100 points to trade at 66,136.52 in the opening deals.
