Before landing in Ahmedabad, India for the mega event “Namaste Trump”, the US President Donald Trump tweeted in the Hindi language that he was very eager to arrive in India and he is on the way to connect with friends in India. Trump’s choice of using the Hindi script to directly communicate with Indians is for sharing the message with masses of northern India. On the other hand, Trump himself shared memes via Twitter of himself as a mythical warrior from Indian famous movie Baahubali, which were instant hits and went viral between both the nations.
The US President Donald Trump arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday for his maiden India trip, he was accompanied by the US First Lady Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka Trump, son-in-law Jared Kushner and top administration people from the USA. After his landing in Ahmedabad, Trump firstly visited Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. During this visit, Trump and his lady Melania also tried their hands on the Indian charkha. Before leaving the Ashram, Trump wrote a message in the visitors’ book.”To my great friend Modi – Thank you for this wonderful visit in India,” wrote by President Trump and he signed this message. This message was also signed by Melania Trump.
After the roadshow with PM Modi, both of the leaders reached to the newly-built cricket stadium in Motera and addressed the gathering of more than one lakh people at the Namaste Trump event in Ahmedabad. President Trump and his wife then later visited Agra for a sunset visit to the iconic beauty of IndiaTaj Mahal mausoleum. The Trump couple then reached Delhi’s Palam Airport on Monday evening. On Tuesday, he will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the morning. After that ceremony, Trump will also pay tributes to M.K Gandhi at Rajghat. Trump and Modi will later hold a restricted delegation-level talk at the Hyderabad House. For this, the US President will be staying at the ITC Maurya hotel.
