Mission Space is attached to a centrifuge that is identical to the one used by NASA trainees, making it one of the most intensive space travel simulators available to the general public. In an effort to simulate astronaut-like weightlessness, passengers are spun while experiencing 2.5Gs of force, twice the gravitational force.

There are presently two levels of operation for the ride: “Green Team” and “Orange Team.” The former offers many of the same sensations as the original ride, but does so with a lot less pressure and power, resulting in less physical side-effects. The iconic ride “Orange Team” throws responsibility on the rider for what they believe they can manage.

Beginning with its debut in 1910, The Derby Racer has a storied past. At the time, the proprietor of the Revere Beach theme park stood to speak about the need for amusement park safety when, in a cruel twist of irony, he fell from one of the coaster cars and died instantly.

Although the coaster was eventually destroyed in 1919, this wasn’t before another tragedy occurred. Soon after the coaster’s removal, another with the same name was installed; however, because of the bad connotation, which hurt sales, it was also removed ten years later.

With a top speed of 240 km/h (150 mph), Formula Rossa is the fastest roller coaster in the world and is made by Intamin. Using a hydraulic launch system that produces a release velocity similar to that of aircraft carrier steam catapults, the coaster train accelerates to its top speed in roughly 4.9 seconds.

This roller coaster, which has a 105-foot drop and travels at 80 km/h, is not for the faint of heart. It whips riders through terrifying inverted loops and turns. The ride’s inverted design proved fatal, nonetheless, in the spring of 2002 when a 58-year-old employee was struck in the head by a 14-year-old rider’s dangling leg and subsequently passed away in the hospital. After then, the girl was also transported to the hospital, but she had just minor wounds.
