In honor of India’s 79th Independence Day, Air India Express launched a “freedom sale” on Sunday, selling around 50 million seats throughout its domestic and international network for as little as Rs 1,279 each.

The airline stated in a press statement that reservations for flights from August 19, 2024, to March 31, 2026, are available until August 15.
“With fares starting at just Rs 1,279 for domestic and Rs 4,279 for international flights, this sale is a celebration of freedom, connectivity, and accessibility in a new India,” it said.
According to the airline, the offer will be accessible through all main booking channels from August 11 to August 15 and will begin exclusively on www.airindiaexpress.com and the Air India Express mobile app on August 10.
“Travel under this offer is valid from August 19, 2024, to March 31, 2026, covering India’s most vibrant festive season, including Onam, Durga Puja, Deepawali, Christmas, and more,” stated the announcement.
According to the airline, it also provides individualized pricing alternatives. While ‘Xpress Value’ rates, which include conventional check-in luggage limits, start at Rs 1,379 for domestic flights and Rs 4,479 for international flights, the ‘Xpress Lite’ zero check-in baggage fare is accessible on its website.
‘Xpress Biz’, the airline’s business-class counterpart, offers passengers a premium experience with an industry-leading seat pitch of up to 58 inches. As part of its fast development, the airline has lately introduced more than 40 new aircraft.
