Bollywood veteran Govinda has been admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, and is currently undergoing a series of medical tests after doctors advised him to consult a neurologist. The 61-year-old actor was rushed to the hospital late Tuesday night after he reportedly fainted at his Mumbai residence, according to his friend and legal advisor Lalit Bindal.
Providing an update on the actor’s condition, Govinda’s manager shared that he is under observation and receiving appropriate medical care.
Shashi Sinha, his manager, told IANS that the actor’s results are still pending and that his health is being attentively watched. “He felt heavy in his head and had a severe headache,” Sinha revealed. It has been suggested that he contact a neurologist because he also experienced vertigo. A check-up is being performed by doctors. The doctor will check him shortly after he was hospitalized yesterday night.
“He was given medicine after consulting a doctor and was admitted to the hospital in emergency at 1 am,” Lalit Bindal, the actor’s friend and legal counsel, earlier told NDTV. Govinda had to be sent to the hospital after taking medicine for the first time following a phone consultation with a physician.
Govinda was seen visiting renowned actor Dharmendra, who was receiving treatment at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, barely one day before to his hospitalization. Govinda was seen driving himself to the hospital in a paparazzi video that went viral. The actor was clearly upset.
Govinda has been admitted to the hospital twice in the past year. He was taken to the same hospital in October of last year after using a licensed revolver to unintentionally injure his leg. The actor suffered a wound behind his knee, and in order to carefully extract the bullet, he had to spend an hour in the intensive care unit. According to reports, Govinda was putting his handgun back in the cabinet as he was getting ready to leave to Kolkata when it unintentionally discharged.
Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, arrived in Mumbai Wednesday night before to the actor’s hospitalization. At the airport, she was seen and questioned about Dharmendra’s well-being. She stated that although Govinda had previously paid the seasoned actor a visit, she would do the same shortly. Sunita Ahuja prayed for a quick recovery for Dharmendra. The seasoned actor will now undergo therapy at home after being released from the hospital.
