56th Indian Valuers Congress –
Strengthening the Foundation of India’s Economic Decisions through Valuation
Raipur, Chhattisgarh | 18–20 December 2025
The Institution of Valuers (IOV), India’s first and most respected professional body for valuers, hereby announces the 56th Indian Valuers Congress (IVC – 2025) — a landmark national gathering dedicated to strengthening the valuation profession and advancing transparency in India’s economic and infrastructure decision-making.
For 56 continuous years, the Indian Valuers Congress has remained the only national platform in India fully devoted to the science, ethics, and practice of valuation across all asset classes — land, buildings, industries, machinery, businesses, infrastructure, natural resources, and financial assets. This long-standing continuity makes it India’s largest and most influential valuation event, not only by numbers, but by its impact too.
Valuation plays a silent yet decisive role in almost every important activity of the nation — bank financing, land acquisition, public asset monetisation, infrastructure development, mergers and acquisitions, tax assessments, corporate restructuring, insurance claims, and dispute resolution. Despite this, the profession often functions in the background, without due recognition or understanding by the wider public.
The 56th Indian Valuers Congress is being organised with the objective of bringing this invisible yet powerful profession into the national spotlight and highlighting its role in:
- Promoting fair and transparent transactions
- Supporting sustainable infrastructure development
- Strengthening financial systems
- Protecting stakeholders and public interest
- Ensuring ethical and accurate assessment of national resources
The selection of Raipur, Chhattisgarh as the host city is intentional and symbolic. Chhattisgarh stands at the crossroads of India’s industrial, mineral, agricultural, and energy-based growth. It plays a crucial role in sectors such as mining, steel, power generation, cement, logistics, and infrastructure. As new development corridors, rail networks, industrial parks, renewable energy projects, and urban expansions taking shape, the importance of Valuation profession becomes more critical than ever.
The theme of the Congress, “Catalysing India’s Growth: The Evolving Role of Valuers – From Skill to Scale”, emphasizes the transformation of the valuer from just a technical appraiser to a strategic facilitator of national development.
The event has already received overwhelming support from the professional and corporate ecosystem, with more than 35 reputed organisations joining as sponsors and knowledge partners. These include authorities such as Naya Raipur Development Authority, leading financial and housing institutions like Tata Housing Finance and Aavas Housing Finance, and prominent banks including City Union Bank, Punjab National Bank, and Indian Overseas Bank. Esteemed academic institutions such as Techno and Rungta University, along with recognised valuation entities and other major corporates from the infrastructure and technology sectors, have also extended their support.
The Congress will feature over 35 highly respected subject-matter experts, including a Professor from the Delhi School of Economics, the MD & CEO of NeSL, the CEO of RDC Concrete, Avinash Group, and other distinguished thought leaders from across India. These experts represent diverse fields such as finance, law, infrastructure, governance, sustainability, technology, academia, and asset management. In addition, the Finance Minister and Culture Minister of Chhattisgarh have also consented to be a part of the Conference, adding to its stature and significance.
Further demonstrating its magnitude and national reach, more than 500 delegates have already confirmed their participation, including registered valuers, industry professionals, policymakers, academicians, researchers, and young aspirants — positioning IVC 2025 as one of the most significant and widely supported valuation gatherings in the history of the profession.
As India advances towards its vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, the country will require the services of trained, ethical, and technologically capable valuers to support its growth journey. The Indian Valuers Congress, therefore, is not just a professional conference; it is a national initiative for awareness, reform, skill enhancement, and ethical governance.
Every economic choice starts with Valuation; Valuers make it possible—
