Today, Maruti Suzuki will formally introduce its first flex fuel vehicle in India, a Wagon R. Previously, Maruti Suzuki had previously demonstrated the Flex Fuel Wagon R.
Compared to the present E20, flex fuel vehicles may run on a far greater ethanol blend. This means lowering our oil import costs and being more ecologically friendly.
Union Ministers for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, and Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, would introduce the vehicle.
More of these flexible fuel vehicles will be available in the upcoming years, and in five years, there will be a greater level of consumer acceptance. Flex fuel vehicles may also run on E100 fuel, and they undergo significant modifications to guarantee this compatibility.
What Modifications Take Place Underneath?
Because ethanol is more corrosive, fuel lines, injectors, and other parts must be replaced. The ECU has also been adjusted by Maruti Suzuki.
Additionally, E100 fuel would be far less expensive than regular E20 fuel, which would lessen the financial strain on the user.
Because of its popularity and usefulness, the Wagon R was easily selected as the first flex fuel vehicle.
Anticipated Costs and Variants
While a manual or AMT version would be available, we anticipate just minor design changes over the basic Wagon R. However, there are undoubtedly more significant alterations under the hood.
A price rise over the regular Wagon R is to be expected.
