Gold eases slightly while silver takes the bigger hit as oil prices and Middle East tensions keep bullion under pressure
Gold prices edged lower and silver fell sharply on Friday. Here is today’s gold rate in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi, the 22 carat price, the gold MCX level and the silver rate.
Gold MCX: Little Changed
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), December gold futures were trading at ₹1,43,303 per 10 grams, down ₹6 from the previous close of ₹1,43,309. Buyers in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad are watching prices closely, and international bullion remains sensitive to Middle East developments and the US dollar.

Gold Rate Today in Bangalore and Hyderabad
According to Goodreturns, 24-carat gold stood at ₹14,437 per gram in Bengaluru, and the rates for Hyderabad were the same. That makes the gold rate today in Bangalore and the gold rate today in Hyderabad identical on October 23.

Prices have slipped over the past few days: 24K gold was ₹14,608 per gram on October 21 and ₹14,438 on October 22.
Silver Rate Today in Delhi
Silver was priced at ₹2,24,900 per kg in Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad alike, according to the same rates. The silver rate today in Delhi therefore matches the other two cities on this benchmark.

Other benchmarks show lower levels. The All India Sarafa Association quoted Delhi silver at ₹2,13,400 per kg, down ₹1,600 from the previous session. One report headlined that silver crashed 4.42% on the day.
Why Prices Are Under Pressure
Reports link the weakness to higher crude oil prices and global uncertainty, with spot silver at about $57.46 an ounce, down 0.9%. Gold prices in the international market have been fluctuating. Rising oil prices tend to raise inflation worries, which can push interest-rate expectations higher and weigh on non-yielding assets like gold.
What Buyers Should Check
- Rates differ by source. Goodreturns, bullion associations and the MCX use different benchmarks, so the same metal can show different prices.
- Jewellery costs more than the base rate. Making charges and 3% GST are added on top of the 22 carat price.
- Rates change through the day. Confirm the final price with your jeweller before buying.
