According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the censor board initially asked the makers to implement 23 cuts to secure the rating. Later, the team voluntarily approached CBFC again, trimming additional portions and reducing the runtime from 2 hours 43 minutes to 2 hours 37 minutes.
Baaghi 4 is coming out shortly after the collapse of War 2, starring Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan, which only made Rs 235.45 nett in India—much less than the movie’s estimated Rs 200 crore budget. This is a big risk for Tiger Shroff, who hasn’t had a successful movie since 2020’s Baaghi 3. He has starred in Heropanti 2, Ganapath – A Hero Is Born, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan since the outbreak. These movies were all huge box office failures.
Sabbir Khan, who helmed Tiger’s first movie Heropanti, directed the first Baaghi, which became a franchise due to its success. Ahmed Khan helmed the second and third installments, but A Harsha, who has mainly directed Kannada films in the past, is directing the new movie.
Whether Baaghi 4 can restore Tiger’s status as the action star who has previously performed well at the box office is still up in the air.
