Bollywood star Bobby Deol will be attending the Dussehra celebrations that will be held on Thursday, October 2, at Delhi’s Red Fort grounds after accepting an invitation from the Luv Kush Ramlila committee, according to the Hindustan Times. At the yearly event, he would symbolically kill Ravan Dahan, the effigy of Ravana.
Bobby Deol expressed his happiness at being invited and having the opportunity to take part in the renowned custom that honors the victory of virtue over evil, saying, “Dilli ki Ramlila mein iss baar mai aa raha hai…”Toh milte hain Dussehra par,” the organizers said in a video message.
Every year, Vijayadashami, the tenth day of Durga Puja, also known as Dussehra or Dassahra, draws thousands of people to the Red Fort for the Ramlila Celebrations. According to Arjun Kumar, the head of the Ramlila committee, Bobby Deol’s involvement is anticipated to make this Dussehra even more spectacular and unforgettable, as reported by HT.
It is noteworthy that actress Poonam Pandey was chosen to play Mandodari in Luv Kush Ramlila in Delhi. Manoj Tiwari, a BJP MP, was commended for portraying Parashuram.
