Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the five-time winners, will play Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on March 30 to start their IPL 2026 campaign.
After a terrible IPL 2025 season in which the team ended bottom of the points table for the first time in its existence, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, will be keen to recover.
In preparation for the upcoming season, the Chennai-based team has made some significant adjustments. Important players Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja left CSK, but they added Sanju Samson from the Rajasthan Royals to bolster their roster.
On paper, CSK has a potent batting squad with both young, promising talent and seasoned warriors. But as the competition goes on, their relatively inexperienced bowling attack could become a problem.
Gaikwad and his team will be looking to restore the consistency that has characterized CSK’s success over the years with a revitalized squad and a point to prove.
IPL 2026 is scheduled to begin on March 28. The Super Kings will try to get off to a solid start and aim for another deep run in the competition.
Here is the Chennai Super Kings’ IPL 2026 schedule.
