The significant Yamuna Riverfront project is projected to be completed by June 30 of next year, according to the Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) major floodplain restoration program timetables. Aside from that, officials said Phase 1 of the bike track linking other floodplain projects would be completed by October 31 this year. Cleaning up the Yamuna River and restoring its floodplains was a key election topic in Delhi. The BJP argued that the previous AAP administration failed to clean the river despite spending hundreds of rupees on it.

The third phase of liquor vend auctions proved a moneymaker for the Haryana government, with bids fetching Rs 1270.40 crore, 5.96 percent more than the reserve price of Rs 1198.90 crore. G-Town Wines made the highest bid at Rs 98.6 crore for Bristol Chowk on the city’s exclusive Golf Course Road, against a reserve (base) price of Rs 94.6 crore. Last year, the same winning bidder made the highest bid in the same zone, paying Rs 48.28 crore against a base price of Rs 36.75 crore.
