We share the success story of Late Mr. Muralidharan Balakrishnan aka Murali and Suriram Pandy aka Suri who founded Devoir Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in 2016. In a virtual conversation with our team, Suriram Pandy walked us through his overall corporate journey and shared invaluable insights into their business portfolio. In 2016, Murali and Suri joined hands to lay the foundation of Devoir. They both laid the foundation for the company’s remarkable growth and long-term success, cultivating a vision that continues to thrive and inspire. The company’s journey began as a small team and has grown into a formidable force in the service and solutions industry.

Through strategic partnerships with ERP leaders like QAD and Epicor, Devoir has made its mark across industries such as automotive, manufacturing, and IT services. Their ceaseless aim of business excellence has not only opened doors to new markets but solidified their reputation as the preferred partner for the clients. Even in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Devoir demonstrated resilience, completing offshore implementations and earning the clients’ trust.

On June 17th, 2024, the company faced the profound loss of its visionary CEO, Murali. In the wake of this tragedy, Suriram, with remarkable courage and determination, stepped up to carry forward the legacy of his co-founder. Embracing the role of CEO, Suriram has taken the helm of Devoir with unwavering resolve, guiding the company through this challenging period. His leadership, supported by his most trusted team, has ensured that Devoir not only remains steadfast in its mission but continues to thrive, honoring the vision and principles that Muralidharan set forth.

The cornerstone of their resounding success and business expansion is Gopalan Krishnamachari who is the Vice President of the company. His dynamic leadership and aggressive sales strategies have propelled Devoir’s growth into markets like North America. Shree Vinithra Chandrasekar, Senior Project Manager, has been instrumental in executing and delivering the projects with top-tier customer satisfaction, while QA Project Manager Sharmila Murugan possesses an exceptional quality that drives the success of Devoir.

Suri then went on to explain that in the early days, team members like Rajan Prabakaran, Revathi Venkatesan, Pavankumar Madasu, Marudhupandi Alagusundaram, and Purushothaman Natarajan stood firm in creating Devoir’s success story. Their support was adamant even amidst the most challenging times.

Behind the scenes, Kapalishwar, head of Business Continuity and Finance, has been a crucial figure in guiding Devoir through its various phases of growth. Geethaa Vishwanath and Saravanapriya Sankaran, who joined later, have quickly become key assets, contributing significantly to securing new projects and elevating customer service.

• Late Mr. Muralidharan Balakrishnan’s remarkable journey in the IT industry began in 1992 as an IT Manager at Datex Ohmeda India Pvt Ltd. He completed a significant period of three decades in redefining the outlook towards the IT industry. His career saw him excel in diverse roles, from Project Manager to Account Manager, at leading organizations like Thirdware Solutions, Satyam Computers, HCL, Visteon, and Capgemini.

However, he was able to mark his indelible impact as the co-founder and CEO of Devoir. His leadership was defined by vision, integrity, and a relentless pursuit of customer satisfaction something that is still infused in the very DNA of his brainchild. His proactive approach helped Devoir secure its initial projects by leveraging long-standing relationships with former colleagues and clients.

Murali was a tech enthusiast and every day his passion for technology only grew bigger, particularly financial solutions on ERP platforms like Epicor and QAD. He spearheaded critical projects during Devoir’s early years, laying the foundation for the company’s growth.

As Devoir expanded, Murali’s leadership remained central to every major strategic decision, guiding the company through challenges and toward success. His compassionate leadership earned him immense respect, as he became not just a leader, but a mentor and guide to his team. Murali’s legacy is worth many praises and a true reflection of outstanding leadership.

• Suri began his corporate journey in 2003 as a developer at Thirdware where his enthusiasm and dedication quickly distinguished him. Over time, his technical expertise and relentless work ethic propelled him into managerial roles, setting the stage for his eventual role as co-founder of Devoir.

Suri’s career spanned two and half decades handling global assignments in Australia, Singapore, Korea, and London, where he solidified his position based on his ability to deliver complex projects with precision. His leadership at Devoir was instrumental in driving the company’s success, particularly as Delivery Director, where he ensured customer satisfaction by meticulously overseeing projects and exceeding client expectations.

He is a master of ERP systems and emerging technologies. His calm and steady demeanour, indeed played a significant role in the success of the company. He is deeply committed to his team and always available to guide and support them. His hands-on approach made him a trusted leader and mentor, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

After stepping into the role of the CEO, he weighted greater responsibilities and his dedication to mentoring the next generation of IT professionals never waned. He remained actively involved in training and nurturing talent, a testament to his belief in the power of shared knowledge. His influence on Devoir and the IT industry at large will be remembered with deep respect and cherished for years to come.
