Telugu Markets:
The overall occupancy in Telugu regions was 23.98% on Friday, September 5, 2025.
Hyderabad emerged as the strongest market with 30.50% occupancy, peaking at 35% during night shows.
Vijayawada recorded 21.75% occupancy, showing steady footfall throughout the day.
Bengaluru saw lower numbers at 11.75%, though analysts expect growth over the weekend.
Tamil Market:
In Tamil Nadu, ‘Ghaati’ opened with an overall occupancy of 18.78%.
Morning shows started slowly at 11.18%, but momentum increased in the afternoon (19.05%) and peaked in the evening at 24.36%.
Night shows settled slightly lower at 20.54%, indicating that positive word-of-mouth may be driving interest.
Chennai recorded a healthy 28% overall occupancy, with evening and night shows hitting 40%.
If the upward trend continues, particularly during the critical Saturday-Sunday window, ‘Ghaati’ could emerge as a strong performer at the box office in the coming weeks.
