After stunning audiences in theaters, Rishab Shetty’s epic story, “Kantara: Chapter 1,” will be available on Prime Video. Kantara: Chapter 1, starring Rishab Shetty, is scheduled to be published on over-the-top (OTT) platforms following a successful theatrical run. The film, which is produced by Hombale Films, will be available on Prime Video in Kannada along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
In a press announcement, Rishab expressed excitement about the OTT release, saying, “When I started working on this prequel, I wanted to return to the origins of this world—to the roots that inspired it all.” Every action, feeling, and scene in the movie is inspired by actual customs and experienced culture. Its popularity in theaters is a testament to how much consumers connect with our mythology.
October 31, 2025 is when the film is scheduled to debut. Kantara: The first chapter focuses on the beginnings of Daiva worship in Tulunadu, which dates back to the Kadamba dynasty in the fourth century. Berme, the guardian of the Kantara forest and its tribal villages, is portrayed by Rishab.
Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah, and Rukmini Vasanth all play significant parts in the movie. The narrative centers on the conflict between a royal dynasty attempting to overthrow the Daivas and the tribal people who oppose their authority.
