According to Lexus, the new ES sedan will be on sale in India on March 20, 2026. The luxury sedan will broaden the brand’s range of cars available in India and is based on the new TNGA-K platform. The LM MPV and SUVs such the NX, RX, and RX make up the current lineup. In the meantime, the starting price of the current ES is Rs 62.65 (ex-showroom).
Design of the New Lexus ES
The appearance of the 2026 ES is notably crisper than that of the previous model. The main headlights are still largely concealed behind vertical gloss black trim panels, but the front has stylish Z-shaped daytime running lights with turn indicators. A small air dam at the base of the bumper, complemented by unique diamond-patterned inlays, has replaced the well-known spindle grille.
From the side, the bodywork features a striking crease with gloss black highlights and new alloy wheel designs that give it a more aggressive appearance. A thin LED light strip with lighted “LEXUS” branding and L-shaped chrome-trimmed creases underneath for a high-end finish make the back stand out.
Interiors and Features of the New Lexus ES
The next ES will have a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen and a fairly simple interior design. A three-spoke steering wheel featuring the brand’s insignia is another standout feature. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), boss mode, memory-equipped motorized front seats, reclining rear seats, and more are included in the list of features.
Powertrain of the New Lexus ES
Although the India-bound model’s powertrain details are yet unknown, the present ES 300h hybrid is still a reliable standard. It drives the front wheels via an e-CVT transmission and combines a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor for a combined output of about 215 horsepower and 221 Nm of torque. With a 0-100 kmph sprint time of roughly 8.9 seconds, this configuration achieves remarkable efficiency at 22.37 kmpl.
Rivals of the New Lexus ES
In the entry-level luxury sedan market, where it has established a strong reputation for comfort and refinement, the redesigned model will compete with well-known competitors like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series, and Audi A4.
