CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
I started my life in a small village Erandol, in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. I have dreamed of owning a business, for as long as I can remember. After completing my Engineering from VJTI, Mumbai, I joined my cousin’s company as an engineer and worked for 13 years.
Meeting Smita and she entering in my life was a blessing. She was watering everyday to the seed of ambition in my mind, to achieve something different in life. Over and above, Smita was always hating the concept of a stable 9 to 5 job . She supported and stood like a pillar behind me to turn my dream to reality and Mass Tech Controls Pvt. Ltd was formed. My children Manasi and Anurag strengthened the business and today, we achieved our dream with an identity in the society.
There are many remarkable proud moments in my journey of business life. To mention few are like, our company is the first to introduce SMPS-based Industrial Battery Chargers, way back in 2004. Success in supplying Dual Float cum Boost Charger with Integral DCDB of 220V, 800A to Reliance Industries is another proud moment for me.
Mass Tech Controls Pvt Ltd. has added another feather in its cap by bagging a special order for supply of Motor Control Centers and LCPs. Heat tracing Pannels and accessories to a France Company – ITER, (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor). This was a very special to me in my business career and I am honoured to execute this order.
ITER is a collaboration of 35 developed nations namely USA, Russia, South Korea, China, Japan, European Union, and India. This is a project to create a miniature Sun on Earth in France. The idea behind this project is to generate unlimited supply of clean energy from a non-polluting source. In this project the temperature of the source will be created by fusion of hydrogen atoms, and will be similar to that of the Sun.
It is worth mentioning that L & T India had procured products of Mass Tech and also ITER had placed direct orders to Mass Tech for this project. I take pride to state that Mass Tech got an opportunity to be a small contributor in this huge project of protection of global environment.
VERTICAL EXPANSION – ENTRY OF MY SON ANURAG PATIL
Mass Tech EV Charging Division is an achievement of my son Anurag Patil who is an electrical engineer with post graduation degree of MBA from University of Wales London . With huge influence of European countries on green globe concepts, he started a division of Electric Vehicle charger manufacturing unit. He captured the vision of Government of India to improve the sustainability of pollution free environment. He targeted the market of Electric Vehicle manufacturers and promoted EV charger business. Mass-Tech with the leadership and guidance of Anurag entered EV Charger field in 2016 and this was another proud moment for me.
The company added the client list with names of many major automobile manufacturers like Eicher, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Volvo, Mahindra, Hyundai, PMI Electromobility Force Motors, Renault Nissan, Siemens, Panasonic Life Solution, Honda Cars etc. Another event of celebration to our family is when Mass Tech was recognised as the first company to manufacture and commercially sell EV chargers in India. The first installation of EV Charging station was in substation of Tata Power at Vikhroli Mumbai.
SALE OF EV DIVION TO SIEMENS
The service with quality attracts everyone. Based on the performance and reputation in the market , the EV division of Mass Tech have been selected by Siemens for purchase. Based on their stringent evaluation criteria , Mass tech’s capability in EV market, Siemens purchased the EV division in the year 2023.
GOING GLOBAL:-
It’s very essential to keep evolving so as to keep ahead of the competition. This year we have joined hands with a Norwegian company, Sagavolt AS , for their innovative technology which addresses power quality challenges, fortifying the performance of EV charging infrastructures and amplifying EV battery life.
This cutting edge technology can also be used for various other applications to improve efficiency, reduce power losses and reduce project cost. We also joined hands with Afaq Al Khaleej Engineering Resources LLC, UAE with the intention of GO Global.
I formed a new company in UK by name Mass Tech UK LTd with 50 % stake as an expansion. In my future plan list, the next project in line is to have tie up with Norwegian companies. The project focus on conversion of waste to energy and conversion of Flex to energy. This involve the combination of floating wind turbans, solar and wave energy.
As a corporate social responsibility with a vision to give back to the society, I have started scholarships for deserving students from the rural area, around Jalgaon. I have also adopted a nearby village where, I along with a few like-minded friends, ensure the children get good education and the girls also get functional literacy.
Mass tech has joined hands with 4 technical institutes to provide their students get practical experience at our factory, which helps the students understand the subject better. To keep abreast with changing market trends, we educate ourself by attending seminars in India and abroad and meeting various experts from the technical fields.
There are ups and downs in everyone’s career and one should take them in their stride, and face any adversities that come their way. Never to give up on ones dreams as these are what keeps you going.
Business tycoons like Ratan Tata, Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani are inspirational and motivate me to achieve more. I also look up to highly successful entrepreneurs like Elon Musk and Richard Branson who are truly legends. My humble message to all my readers… DON’T GIVE UP YOUR DREAMS
