Rajpal Yadav’s Wife Radha Thanks Bollywood for Support After His Surrender

Speaking to PTI, Radha said that the industry has stood firmly by her husband during this difficult time. “Everybody has stood by him. The industry has been supportive — a big thank you to everyone who is coming out to help,” she said.
Several film personalities, including Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Chaudhary, and music composer Rao Inderjit Yadav, reportedly offered financial assistance and encouraged others to extend support as well.
What Is the Case Against Rajpal Yadav?
Rajpal was sent to Tihar Jail after the Delhi High Court rejected his plea seeking additional time to repay dues in a cheque-bounce matter. The actor is required to pay nearly ₹9 crore.
In its judgment, the court noted that Rajpal must deposit ₹1.35 crore in each of the seven cases filed against him. It also directed that the amount already deposited with the registrar general be released to the complainant.
The legal dispute dates back to 2010, when Rajpal reportedly borrowed ₹5 crore from M/S Murali Projects Pvt Ltd to finance his directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata. The film did not perform well at the box office, leading to financial complications.
Who Came Forward to Help?
According to reports, actors Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Varun Dhawan, and filmmaker David Dhawan have reached out to offer assistance.
Rajpal’s long-time manager, Goldie Jain, stated that many leading actors, directors, and producers have promised help. “People have taken the initiative to help. It doesn’t necessarily mean only financial assistance. Salman, Ajay, Varun, and David Dhawan have called. In what capacity they will help is yet to be known. They are all well-wishers of Rajpal bhai,” he said.
Actor Sonu Sood was reportedly among the first to step forward, offering to sign Rajpal for a film and provide the signing amount as advance support.
