Ratan Tata: The visionary leader passed away at the age of 86

Ratan Tata, the business tycoon, bid goodbye to this world at the age of 86. He was one of the most internationally recognised business leaders.

Ratan Tata died at the hospital of Mumbai on Wednesday, that is on 9th October. He was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in South Bombay on 7th October with some age-related issues and blood pressure.

The President of India Draupadi Murmu as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the visionary business leader.

President Draupadi Murmu said, “In the sad demise of Shri Ratan Tata, India has sad demise of Shri Ratan Tata, India has lost an icon who blended corporate growth with nation-building, And excellence with ethics.

A recipient of Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan, he took forward the great Tata legacy and give it a more impressive global presence. He inspired seasoned professionals and young students alike. His contribution to philanthropy and charity is invaluable. I convey my condolences to his family, the entire team of the Tata group, and his admirers across the globe.”

Minister Modi posted on X, ‘Shri Ratan Tataji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate son and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of the India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. His contributions extended far beyond the boardroom. His humility, kindness, and unwavering commitment to making our society better endeared him to many.’

Dr. S. Jaishankar posted on X, “The passing away of Ratan Tata is the end of an era. He was deeply associated with the modernization of Indian industry and even more so with its globalization.”

Ratan Tata was truly an extraordinary human being. he was the holder of Padma Vibhushan. He paid a crucial role in shaping the corporate landscape of Indian industry.

The chairman of Tata Sons, N Chandrasekharan says, ‘On behalf of the entire Tata family, I extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we walked to uphold the values, he so passionately championed.’
