Robonetics Automation Solutions LLP:

Transforming Industries with pioneering Safer work environments through Mobile Robot Technology – AIRA (Autonomous Indigenous mobile Robot with AI)

Iconic Brand Of The Year 2024

Robonetics automation has taken the business world by storm. Now, people are delegating difficult jobs to robots to create safer workplaces for humans. Now, that the world has woken up to value human lives, robots will take over the industry’s life-threatening tasks involving welding, pick-and-place labor, and material handling. Robots’ ability to withstand extreme conditions is spectacular, especially in hostile environments such as machine shops, casting areas, and other big workshops.

Owing to this vision, people may now be working remotely to monitor and manage these robots from the convenience and remotely control of an office setting. EVEN IN the most demanding industrial situations, we can maintain production and efficiency while keeping people safe by utilizing modern robots. And with this vision in mind, Robonetics Automation Solutions came into existence. Mr.Prasanna and Mr. Chandrasekar, the founders of this new-age organization, remarks that his aim behind the company is to cement the status of a global innovator of intelligent robots and to reduce human involvement in the world’s ‘dullest, dirtiest, and deadliest’ jobs.

In an insightful conversation with Prasanna, we tried to cover the length and breadth of the company. After performing in-depth market research in the industry we found his profile to be the best-suited one for this exclusive edition. In talks with us, he shed light on the origins and motivations that led to the establishment of Robonetics Automation. Prasanna elucidated that he and his partner Mr.Chandrasekar possess over 15 years of experience in robotic integrations. They had a grander vision. They aimed to transition from merely integrating robots to manufacturing them in India. Driven by their R&D approach within the same year, they developed Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Autonomous forklifts.

The company overview

The foundation for Robonetics Automation Solutions was laid in 2018. It began as a system integrator, purchasing robots from Germany and Japan. In this, they started providing turnkey solutions to major companies like Daimler, Nissan, and Asian Paints. The majority of these solutions are robotic products that have made the tumultuous tasks quite efficient. In five years, the company made strides owing to its dual approach.

This approach involved the formation of two teams: a team focused on R&D and another team devoted to developing Custom tailored robotic applications to manufacturing industries, such as the automotive, non-automotive, food, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor sectors. In the present day, they are servicing these industries with their exemplary goods, such as Autonomous pallet movers and Autonomous pallet stackers that operate on their own.

Their material handling solutions have become quite popular across many of their ‘bigwig’ clients involved in the manufacturing industry. Robonetics Automation Solutions has now established a considerable global presence. At present, it is operating across several key regions including India, Singapore & Malaysia, Dubai (MENA), and the USA. In India, they have a robust footprint with subsidiaries and service centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai that enables them to make comprehensive coverage and support across the country.

How did it all start?

Regarding the inquiry concerning the light bulb moment that resulted in the establishment of Robonetics, Prasanna stated that both, he and the other co-founder, Mr. Chandrashekar, hailed from middle-class backgrounds. In a humble 2BHK apartment, they launched their visionary entrepreneurial endeavor. They began adding additional resources as their business became lucrative and income began to come in due to their vast expertise and knowledge from prior employment and clients.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic presented enormous hurdles that hindered expansion and nearly brought the organization to its potential closure. During those hard times, their faith in their vision and strong support from their team and customers enabled them to persevere. And today, Robonetics is now the most promising mobile Robots (AGV/AMR) manufacturing industry creating ripples with its innovative robotic solutions.

Owing to their rollercoaster business journey, the founders now knew the importance of building a strong team and an organized structure for any business to succeed. Hence, they advocate for continuous investment in R&D to remain relevant and competitive in the industry. Since then, they have been navigating the unfavorable tides smoothly.

In the current backdrop, Prasanna handles the sales and marketing operations of the company whereas Chandrashekhar is the one spearheading the project & designing function. Their remarkable ‘duet’ in harmony has led to the resounding success of Robonetics in this evolving and competitive landscape.

The ‘X-factor’ The business model of the company gives it a leading edge in the market. But apart from an innovative business model, the USP of Robonetics is also focused on reducing waste and ensuring a safe work environment. Parallel to this USP is their pledge to be in sync with the global and Indian safety standards evolving across various industries.

Their focus is increasingly on maintaining safety day by day and Prasanna’s business model addresses the critical need for safe material movement in factories, where human operators often transport heavy loads across different sectors like machine shops, welding shops, and assembly areas. “Our vision is to eradicate the need to put human lives at risk while performing industrial tasks. Many tasks are unsafe for humans and at the other end industries also face challenges due to the declining availability of laborers.

Robonetics addresses these issues by automating the material movement and digitalizing the process. Our robotic hardware and AI based software ensure the safety and traceability of materials. For instance, our technology allows users to monitor the exact location of a product and control its movement remotely which could be done by an individual sitting at a distance in a safe environment. Hence, for many industries, we are ensuring a seamless and safe material handling process,” quipped Prasanna.

The multi-machine dispatch system offers software for scheduling multiple machines, enabling collaborative work between them and seamless integration with MES. It ensures efficient planning, traffic control, and coordination of multiple robots, including forklifts, handling robots, and composite robots.

The system automatically selects the best or nearby robots for tasks using dynamic path panning function, manages path planning, and controls traffic within the plant environment. It provides a simple Web API for seamless integration with MES, WMS, and other systems. In addition to this, AMR tasks can be easily adjusted and modified in a short time.

Creating an impact in the future of manufacturing

Our chats led us to ask Prasanna about his company’s impact of automation and robotics on the future of manufacturing. To this, he responded that the industries would be shifted towards factories, where machines and robots operate independently, reducing human presence in hazardous environments.

The organization seeks to guarantee that the workforce continues to operate in safer and more pleasant locations by enabling robots to manage demanding production conditions such as machine shops and casting areas.

Robonetics has made significant investments in artificial intelligence in addition to its present services. Their vision of a future where AI-driven automation dominates manufacturing processes is in line with the fact that AI now powers their robots. The company’s emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) makes its products safer and more efficient and also establishes it as a pioneer in the development of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) in India.

Prasanna and Chandrasekar is extremely proud that AMRs are their core product when asked about particular innovations. They are pioneering autonomous forklift-type mobile robots in India, reflecting their convergence to pushing the boundaries of automation and robotics.

Focus on sustainability goals

Like modern-day businesses, Robonetics also stands on the value of becoming a sustainable venture. In alignment with sustainability goals and environmental regulations, their robotic solutions are powered by lithium phosphate batteries that are ‘Made In India’ product. These batteries are managed by advanced battery management software, ensuring stable charging and discharging.

“Our robots are designed to be energy-efficient, capable of moving 100 kilograms of material for eight hours on the power consumed by a 40-watt powered laptop. Not only this, the robots’ structures comply with stringent environmental standards, contributing to our sustainability objectives by reducing emissions and enhancing energy efficiency,” explained Prasanna.

The futuristic vision

As per Prasanna and Chandrasekar, Robonetics is on the path to innovating and leading in the Autonomous Mobile Robots sector. Because they live up to their promises of sustainability, safety, and ongoing development, they have become an emerging and one of the strong competitors in the market.

Their path from a small venture to a well-known brand in the field is indeed a capsule of motivation for aspirational leaders and business owners. And for the future ahead, they will do sheer justice to their values by ensuring calculated business expansion.
