In a major blow to thousands of farmers across Andhra Pradesh, the much-awaited Rythu Bharosa Money has not been credited as expected, leaving many in distress. The YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme, aimed at providing financial aid to farmers, typically ensures timely installments. However, this time, delays and lack of clarity have sparked outrage.
Rythu Bharosa Money Not Credited: Major Jolt to Farmers
According to local reports, several eligible farmers have not received their Rythu Bharosa funds, leading to frustration during the ongoing agricultural season. With sowing activities already underway, the delay in financial assistance has created hurdles for farmers in purchasing seeds, fertilizers, and other essentials.
Government’s Response
While the state government has acknowledged the issue, officials cite “technical and verification delays” as the reason behind the disruption. Assurance has been given that the funds will be credited soon after re-verification of beneficiaries is complete.
Farmer Protests on the Rise
Several farmer unions have begun voicing their concerns, demanding immediate release of the pending Rythu Bharosa money. Some districts have even witnessed peaceful protests, urging the government to act swiftly.
What is the Rythu Bharosa Scheme?
Launched under the YSR government, the Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan scheme provides annual financial aid of ₹13,500 to eligible farmers in three phases. It is jointly funded by the state and central governments and is seen as a lifeline for small and marginal farmers.
As farmers await clarity, many are urging the government to resolve the issue without further delay to avoid a deeper crisis in the agricultural economy.
