- Five Nights at Freddy’s – Murder in Chuck E. Cheese: Five nights at Freddy is horror game which was developed by Scott Cawthon. The opposite atmosphere has owned a great success on private computers and mobiles. In this game there is a restaurant named Freddy Fazbear’s pizza. In this restaurant, kids love the puppet show animatronics during the day. . You will discover that these toys are moving at night and your goal will be to survive five nights from midnight to 6:00 AM without being eaten by one of them. You will be given several security cameras but you have to close the doors to prevent them from reaching your office.
There are surprisingly similarities between Chuck E cheese and the setting of five nights at Freddie game. In 1993, an actual murder case in Aurora served as the basis of this game. In this murder case, a former employee shot 4 current employees as they were cleaning up after closing for the evening, tragically killing them and badly injuring 1.
- Resident Evil Village- Elizabeth Bathory: It is a horror game developed and published by Capcom. This game is the sequel to Resident Evil 7 biohazard which came in 2017 and the 10th main game of the Resident Evil series. In this game, players are controlling Ethan winters who is searching for his kidnapped daughter in a mysterious village filled with mutant creatures. Village has obnoxious horror elements from the previous games. Players are scavenging environment for items and managing resources while adding more action oriented gameplay with more enemy count and greater emphasis on combat.
This game is similar to Elizabeth Bathory case. She was a noble woman who was accused of torturing young women before killing them. She used to have a bit off the victim’s flush and bathed in their blood. It is reported that her husband gave her clawed gloves so that she could use them to discipline servants. Lady Dimitrescu is a noble woman who wears similar gloves for torturing . The servants are the model for three daughters of Elizabeth.
- Silent Hill- Centralia: As per wikipedia, it is a horror media franchise centred on the series of survival horror game created by Keiichiro Toyama and published by Konami. The game is followed by supernatural events which follows various characters drawn to the town. In the town, these character encounter horrifying creatures, psychological torment and mysteries which is tied to their own life.
The setting of this game is Centralia which was a typical mining community which became abandoned. Now the town is a ghost town. If you have visited the Silent Hill, you will be able to sense the emptiness which the characters are experiencing.
- Never-ending Nightmares- Inner Struggle of the developer: It is a video game developed by Infinitap Games. This game draws inspiration from the lead designer Matt Gilgenbach’s personal struggle with the obsessive and compulsive disorder and depression. In this game the player takes the role of Thomas who wakes up from a nightmare into another. The nightmares became progressively worse including the modifying monsters. Each time the character dies in the nightmare, comes across some serious cause of depression, commits self-harm he will wake up again in either the same nightmare as before or into a different one.
- Outlast- ProjectKUltra: As per wikipedia, outlast is a 2013 first person psychological survival horror video game which was developed and published by Canadian independent studio Red Barrels.
In this game, player is given the role of freelance investigative journalist who is navigating in mount massive asylum in the mountains of Lake County. This game is played from first person perspective.
