In the present times, project closures, implementation schedules, and lines of code no longer define the global IT and consulting sector. A much deeper expectation of results over outputs, intelligence over infrastructure, and purpose over mere profitability is reshaping it. Today’s businesses must navigate a world where data intelligence, cloud platforms, and AI-driven automation are strategic requirements rather than optional upgrades.
CRM platforms, which were formerly thought of as systems of record, are quickly changing into autonomous, predictive, and deeply integrated systems of action. With advancements like AI agents, intelligent automation, and platforms like Salesforce Agentforce, technology is now influencing how work is done rather than merely assisting businesses.
Now, we are witnessing success belonging to organizations that can combine technological depth with strategic clarity and ethical responsibility.
It is within this transformative landscape that Utilitarian Labs has emerged, not merely as a Salesforce consulting firm, but as a purpose-driven transformation partner. Ajeet Kumar and Prithvi Shiroor are the co-founders of the company, leading it to greater heights. We sat down for a one-on-one conversation with the co-founders to explore the indepth journey and future projection of the venture.
Where Technology Meets Purpose
The leaders began with revealing Utilitarian Labs as a business entity. It started with a straightforward but impactful concept to use innovation that genuinely matters to connect technology and purpose. What began as a small Salesforce consulting team has grown into a Salesforce Summit-level Consulting Partner that businesses from all sectors rely on to provide scalable, future-ready CRM solutions.
Curiosity, teamwork, and an unwavering dedication to excellence have shaped the company’s journey. Utilitarian Labs employs a global team of certified professionals who combine strategic insight, deep industry knowledge, and agile delivery to facilitate seamless implementations, quicker onboarding, and long-term value creation.
Their strength lies not just in technical expertise, but in understanding business contexts to help clients simplify complexity, design resilient systems, and elevate customer experiences at every touchpoint.
To us, leadership is about responsibility, clarity, and enablement. Having grown as a technologist ourselves, we strongly believe leaders must stay connected to the work on the ground, understanding the technology, the challenges, and the people delivering solutions every day” -Co-founders of Utilitarian Lab

Impact-centered vision and mission
Utilitarian Labs has a well-defined mission at its core. This deliberate idea is reflected in the mission and vision: To provide customized Salesforce consulting services that optimize value, reduce complexity, and help businesses become more intelligent, flexible, and prepared for the future. Additionally, the leadership provides companies with useful and creative Salesforce solutions that promote long-term success and customer-focused expansion.
The company, which is driven by the principles of trust, innovation, and responsibility, feels that technology should have a significant impact on both businesses and the communities they serve.
Utilitarian Labs has seen and adjusted to the fundamental change of the IT and consulting industry over the years. Client expectations have changed because of the transition from project-centric services to outcome-driven, platform-led digital transformation. Today’s enterprises demand speed, scalability, transparency, and measurable business impact.
AI, automation, and data intelligence are no longer future ambitions, they are present-day imperatives. For Utilitarian Labs, this evolution meant stepping beyond implementation to become a strategic enabler, helping organizations design governance-driven, AIready systems that deliver sustained impact.
The most defining shift, however, has been the rise of AI-led autonomous systems. Platforms are now augmenting human capability rather than replacing it to enable lean teams to achieve greater outcomes. Utilitarian Labs is actively shaping this future by designing ethical, transparent, and business-aligned AI-driven Salesforce solutions.
Innovation via Research and Development
R&D is not just a formality but a foundation of Utilitarian Labs as the foundation of sustainable growth in a rapidly changing digital environment. The business can stay ahead of technological changes by consistently investing in innovation, particularly in AI, automation, and intelligent CRM ecosystems. R&D enables Utilitarian Labs to develop unique capabilities and go beyond standard implementations, preparing teams and clients for the workplace of the future.
Leadership That Facilitates Rather Than Directs
At the heart of Utilitarian Labs is a leadership team that blends strategic foresight with deep operational excellence.
A. Kiran Kumar Naik, Head of Delivery, leads execution with a sharp focus on quality, scalability, and on-time outcomes, ensuring every engagement delivers measurable business value.
Chandan Kumar, Chief Financial Officer, brings strong financial stewardship and governance, enabling sustainable growth while maintaining operational discipline.
Driving expansion and market momentum is Anand Iyengar, Chief Growth Officer, who spearheads client partnerships and growth strategies with a sharp eye on long-term value creation. Here, leadership is characterized by accountability, lucidity, and facilitation. As a technology-focused, founder-led company, leadership has been developed consciously rather than hastily.
A senior finance leader strengthened financial discipline at the start of the leadership journey, and then delivery leadership institutionalized execution excellence. Growth strategy was refined by presales and sales leadership, and a committed HR head ensured culture, capability, and continuity. Today, with a strong senior leadership foundation, the focus is on developing second- and third-level leaders to ensure depth, scalability, and long-term resilience.
For Utilitarian Labs, leadership is not about authority, it is about earning trust, removing obstacles, and empowering people to do their best work.
Outcome-Oriented: Deep Technical Leadership That Delivers
Utilitarian Labs is powered by a robust layer of Salesforce Technology Leads with deep, hands-on expertise across the Salesforce ecosystem. Our core Salesforce leadership team — Vijay Naik, Shubham Shukla, Anirudh Sangwan, Sandeep Singh, Kishan Panchal, Bhawna Kumari, Isha Raj, and Anjali Singh — brings extensive experience in architecting, implementing, and scaling complex Salesforce solutions. This strong technical backbone ensures best-in-class solution design, adherence to Salesforce best practices, and consistent delivery excellence across projects of all sizes.
Growth Built on Trust, Quality, and Word of Mouth
From serving our first 2–4 customers, Utilitarian Labs has grown organically to deliver 100+ projects, acquired purely through quality delivery, customer satisfaction, and strong word-of-mouth referrals.
This growth reflects not just technical capability, but enduring client relationships built on reliability, transparency, and results.
A People-First Work Culture
We asked the leaders to share what the work culture at Utilitarian Labs is and found it to be rooted in purpose, ownership, and empathy. The organization fosters trust, transparency, and continuous learning to encourage individuals to think beyond roles and titles. Employees are empowered to innovate, speak up, and grow, supported by accessible, hands-on leadership. This balance of flexibility and accountability enables the company to deliver consistent value while growing responsibly.
Development, Growth, and the Future
The three main pillars of Utilitarian Labs’ growth strategy are global reach, specialization, and scale. The company is focusing on big businesses, specific government accounts, and emerging industry verticals as it expands throughout Pan-India and strengthens its position in North America, Europe, Australia, Canada, and the Middle East. The cornerstones of its next growth phase are operational excellence, specialized delivery pods, and AI-driven value creation. The company envisions a future in which CRM users work seamlessly with automation and AI agents to make quicker, more intelligent decisions.
Utilitarian Labs, which is dedicated to Salesforce’s 1% Pledge, strikes a balance between innovation and responsibility by contributing to the community through technology, skills, and impact. Using this strategy, the business hopes to increase revenue by 100% in 2026 while adhering to its core values.
Milestones That Tell a Story

Parting words to entrepreneurs and Readers by co-founders
To the Business Connect readers, our message is simple i.e. to embrace change with intent and responsibility. The future of business will be shaped by how thoughtfully we adopt technology, especially AI and digital platforms. Those who focus on trust, continuous learning, and purpose-driven innovation will not only stay relevant but lead meaningful change.
At Utilitarian Labs, we believe growth and impact go hand in hand, and we look forward to building a future where technology empowers people, businesses, and communities alike. Here, leadership has been built deliberately, never in haste, always with intent. As a founder-led, technology-first organization, we chose to add leadership layers gradually, ensuring each role strengthened the foundation before scaling further.
Our first step was bringing in a senior Finance leader to bring structure, discipline, and long-term financial clarity. This was followed by a Delivery leader to institutionalize execution excellence, and then Presales and Sales leadership to sharpen customer engagement and growth strategy. Recognizing that people are our core strength, we subsequently onboarded a dedicated HR Head to nurture culture, capability, and continuity.
Today, with strong senior leadership in place, we are poised for the next phase of growth focused on strengthening our second- and third-level delivery managers and team leads. This investment will ensure depth in execution, leadership continuity, and the ability to scale seamlessly while maintaining the quality and values that define Utilitarian Labs.
