In the initial two years, the venture was operating in the US market only. Afterward, they started getting profiles from other countries. This led them to research deep into the industry to establish themselves in other countries.

After getting feedback from students who went to the USA as well as other countries, they decided to expand their reach. Though there were many factors in the picture and many challenges came their way, Vamsi and Neha navigated those with sheer wit and mindfulness. With the expansion of the service portfolio, they evolved and established a highly efficient business model.

FROM RURAL BEGINNINGS TO A GLOBAL VISION

Vamshi’s journey began when he left his rural background to pursue his undergraduate studies in Hyderabad. During this transition, he was struck by the vast differences in education systems and the living environment. His observation of these disparities not only between rural and urban India but also between India and the rest of the world prompted him to research the benefits of studying abroad.

“I believe education is the most powerful tool to transform lives. I was from a rural background area, and I came to Hyderabad for my UG. When I was in my UG, I noticed how education is completely different in India from rural to urban areas. I was lagging in my class comparatively with my urban friends either in communication or in subject knowledge, then I started observing things. I realised the gap, and I got to know the key points, which made me think about starting an overseas educational consultancy.

After my UG, I went for many placements and many of my friends went abroad to pursue their Masters. Based on a good social network comprised of my friends, I got some valuable information about how the job scenarios in India and the USA are currently going. Then, I observed the major benefits of pursuing a PG in a foreign land. And it was the moment for me to start an overseas educational consultancy,” shared Vamsi.

In his final year of B.Tech., Vamshi witnessed many of his peers facing challenges while processing their applications to study abroad. The difficulties his friends encountered, especially around the complex procedures of different universities and countries, led him to identify a gap in the market. He saw a mismatch between what led him to focus on providing better services and addressing these challenges head-on.

FOUNDING VN GLOBAL EDU

By 2016, Vamshi thoroughly recognised the scope for improvement in the overseas education consultancy. For this, he partnered with Neha, a close friend with an MBA background, and together, they co-founded VN Global EDU in 2017. “Neha is my best friend who partnered with me in the inception of our brainchild. She was always interested in business, and we decided to dive into the overseas education field.

We eventually decided to start in 2017. Later, we brought other employees on board as per their interest in this field. Today, our company has become a 30-person team that operates in two branches in Telangana State,” Vamsi explained.

Initially, VN Global EDU focused on helping students apply to universities in the USA, which was a popular destination at the time. The founders invested significant effort into understanding the various educational systems, visa processes, and university requirements to better serve their clients. Their commitment to bridging the gap between students’ needs and available services laid the foundation for the company’s growth.
