Dr. Disrespect’s YouTube monetization has been reinstated after nearly a year of being demonetized. The move comes after the streamer, whose real name is Guy Beahm, was banned from Twitch in 2020 under undisclosed circumstances. In 2024, he admitted to exchanging messages with a minor in 2017, which led to YouTube suspending his ability to earn revenue from his channel.
Beahm announced the restoration of his monetization in a recent YouTube stream, expressing excitement and relief. The news coincided with the closure of Midnight Society, the gaming studio he co-founded, which developed the multiplayer shooter DEADROP. YouTube’s decision to reinstate his channel to its Partner Program indicates that the platform has reviewed and cleared his content under its Creator Responsibility policies
Despite the reinstatement, Dr Disrespect continues to maintain a presence on Rumble, a streaming platform that has offered him equity and an advisory role. However, with his YouTube earnings restored, he is expected to focus more on his primary channel while keeping his options open for future partnerships.
