Holding four degrees, including a BA in Political Studies from Queen’s University, a BA in Jurisprudence from Oxford, a Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie, and a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto, Anand has a formidable background in law and governance. Before entering politics, she was a corporate lawyer and a law professor at the University of Toronto, where she held the JR Kimber Chair in Investor Protection and Corporate Governance.
Anand’s political ascent began in 2019 when she was elected as the Member of Parliament for Oakville, Ontario.
