Reliance Infrastructure and Dassault Aviation, a French company, have teamed together to produce Falcon 2000 business jets in India. This is Dassault’s first Falcon assembly plant outside of France. The Nagpur plant will support local manufacturing, create skilled employment, and meet corporate and military demands. This is in addition to a significant defense agreement with Germany’s Diehl Defense and a cash investment of Rs 300 crore.
Reliance Infra Share Price Soars 4% Post Dassault Jet Production Contract
Following the announcement of a strategic alliance between the Anil Ambani-led business and French aircraft giant Dassault Aviation, shares of Reliance Infrastructure surged 4.2% to reach the day’s high of Rs 403 on the BSE on Thursday. Dassault and its affiliate Reliance Aerostructure will work together to produce Falcon 2000 business aircraft in India.
Dassault will construct its Falcon aircraft outside of France for the first time. With this move, India becomes one of the few countries that produce business jets for international markets, along with the US, France, Canada, and Brazil.
