Launched by the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association (KHASA), the game is designed to promote the traditional sport of archery and inspire the younger generation to actively participate in it.
HOW TO PLAY SHILLONG LOTTERY?
The Shillong Teer Lottery consists of two short rounds, each lasting about two minutes. In the first round, archers shoot 30 arrows, followed by 20 arrows in the second round. Players choose a number between 0 and 99, attempting to predict how many arrows will hit the target.
Winners are determined by how accurately their guesses match the actual number of hits. Tickets are sold at authorised outlets in denominations of Rs 1, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20 and Rs 50, with prize amounts varying based on ticket value and prediction accuracy.
For instance, a Rs 1 ticket with a correct first-round prediction can win Rs 80, while the second round can yield Rs 60. Successfully predicting both rounds can earn up to Rs 4,000.
