Episode List
Season 2 of Wednesday consists of eight episodes, divided equally into two parts. Part 1, which premiered on August 6, introduced the series with four episodes, each infused with the characteristic “woe” in the titles. Part 2 follows suit, presenting the last four episodes with mysterious and ominous titles:
Episode 5: Title TBD – September 3, 2025
Episode 6: Title TBD – September 3, 2025
Episode 7: Title TBD – September 3, 2025
Episode 8: Title TBD – 3rd September, 2025
Though titles for Part 2 are kept secret, they should follow the dark whimsy of Part 1’s titles: “Here We Woe Again,” “The Devil You Woe,” “Call of the Woe,” and “If These Woes Could Talk.” The season resumes after a cliffhanger shock when Wednesday, tossed out of a window by Tyler Galpin in his Hyde incarnation, has new dangers and unleashed devastation from the LOIS program at Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital.
Cast: Returning Favorites and New Faces
Jenna Ortega returns as Emmy-nominated Wednesday Addams, the witty, stoic sleuth unraveling a complex web of mysteries at Nevermore Academy. The main cast is back with more roles for the Addams Family, including:
Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Wednesday’s psychic mother, struggling with family secrets.
Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, the fiery patriarch.
Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, now a Nevermore student with shocking new powers.
Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, getting into Wednesday’s sleuthing.
Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump, Morticia’s cunning and rich mom.
Victor Dorobantu as Thing, the living hand and trusted friend.
Joonas Suotamo as Lurch, the hulking Addams butler.
Returning Nevermore students are Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, werewolf roommate to Wednesday who is confronted by a fatal premonition; Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay; Moosa Mostafa as Eugene; and Georgie Farmer as Ajax. Hunter Doohan comes back as Tyler Galpin, whose Hyde form continues as a menacing specter.
New recruits introduce new mystery:
Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood, the storied Nevermore educator with a shadowy function, was in the trailer hinting with the dire warning, “Beware, there will be a price to pay.” Lady Gaga also drops her new single, “Dead Dance,” as part of Part 2’s launch.
Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Nevermore’s incoming principal.
Billie Piper as Isadora Capri, a newcomer who stirs up the storyline.
Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Rachael Fairburn, linked to Willow Hill’s sinister experiments.
Evie Templeton as Agnes DeMille, Wednesday’s stalker fan with the ability to become invisible.
Noah B. Taylor as Bruno Yuson, werewolf student who is smitten with Enid.
Heather Matarazzo as Judi Spannagel, the real mastermind behind Willow Hill’s LOIS program.
Gwendoline Christie returns in a surprise role as Principal Larissa Weems, now Wednesday’s spirit guide after her
Season 1 demise.
Guest stars include Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Christopher Lloyd as Professor Orloff, and Anthony Michael Hall in an undisclosed role.
Notably, Percy Hynes White (Xavier Thorpe) does not return due to prior allegations, and Christina Ricci’s Marilyn Thornhill faces an uncertain fate after a violent encounter in Part 1.
Plot: A Darker, Twistier Chapter
Season 2, Part 2 continues after Wednesday’s close brush with death with Tyler at Willow Hill, where she discovered the evil LOIS (Long-term Outcast Integration Study) program, which seeks to harness Outcasts’ abilities for Normies. Without her psychic powers, Wednesday resorts to good-old-fashioned detective work, assisted by the ghost of Larissa Weems. Higher stakes come as Wednesday struggles with a vision of Enid’s death being her own fault and faces rising threats, including still-at-large Tyler and fresh enemies.
The Addams Family, such as Morticia and Grandmama, have larger roles, untangling concealed secrets as Wednesday deals with shaky alliances and a zombie at large. Showrunners Miles Millar and Alfred Gough vow a “darker and more complex” ride, with Wednesday’s arrogance opening up a Pandora’s box of pandemonium after releasing malevolent Outcasts.
Production and Cultural Significance
Partly directed by Tim Burton, who also executive produces with Gough and Millar, Season 2 was shot in Ireland’s County Wicklow, which replaced Season 1’s Romanian location. The biggest production in Irish history, it was welcomed by Taoiseach Simon Harris for stimulating the economy locally and highlighting Ireland’s landscapes. The show continues its gothic appeal, with Danny Elfman’s score and a new track by Lady Gaga, “Dead Dance,” adding to the atmosphere. Wednesday remains an international phenomenon with Season 1 delivering over 252 million views and four Emmys and becoming Netflix’s most-watched English-language series.
Why It’s a Must-Watch
Part 2 promises to deepen Wednesday’s allure with its blend of supernatural mystery, sharp humor, and a stellar cast. Lady Gaga’s cameo and Gwendoline Christie’s return add intrigue, while Jenna Ortega’s magnetic performance keeps the show’s heart beating. With a third season greenlit and a potential Uncle Fester spinoff in the works, Wednesday continues to cast a long, dark shadow over Netflix’s lineup. Mark your calendars, sharpen your minds, and get ready for a screamingly good time.
