Full Mirai movie story
In Mirai, a young man named Vedha (Teja) is destined to battle evil and become a great Yodha (warrior). In order to ascend to power, Mahabir Lama, also known as the Black Sword (Manoj), is searching for the nine grandhas (texts) that Emperor Ashoka left behind. Before it’s too late, Vedha sets out to locate the Mirai, a weapon that Lord Ram used to vanquish Mahabir and save the grandhas. In the conclusion, the movie sets up the plot for a follow-up.
Today, we’re going to explain the Mirai movie. The film is a superhit, with both action and storyline being top-notch. The story keeps you hooked from start to finish, and you cannot predict what’s coming next. One twist follows another, and the ending is even better than the entire movie. The final moments are particularly epic—Lord Ram himself appears to defeat the demon, and this happens in just the last one minute. Do not miss the ending under any circumstances.
Without wasting time, here’s the story explained:
The Beginning
The movie opens by explaining that in 232 BC, Ashok, after winning the Kalinga war, felt immense guilt. To ensure no one could ever cause the same level of destruction he had, he split all his powers into nine sacred texts (Granths). The warrior holding the ninth Granth would have the power to see the future and prevent the texts from falling into evil hands. The other eight warriors would hold different powers to protect their respective Granths. From 232 BC onwards, their descendants have been safeguarding these sacred texts.
The story then jumps to the year 2000, introducing Ambika, the warrior of the ninth Granth. While meditating, Ambika sees a vision: a dark force is coming to seize the Granths, and no one among the eight warriors can stop it. If the dark force acquires the ninth Granth, it will become immortal. To prevent this catastrophe, Ambika calls a meeting of all Granth warriors through pigeons and warns them about the future.
However, the other warriors dismiss her warnings, trusting their own powers and armies. Ambika realizes that the future cannot be changed easily. Driven by desperation, she leaves her ashram and climbs the Himalayas to seek guidance from Rishi Agastya, even though she is pregnant. Exhausted, she collapses, and Rishi Agastya takes her to a cave, revealing that only a mystical weapon from Treta Yuga—the Mii Astra, once used by Lord Ram—can stop this evil. Ambika learns that to retrieve the weapon, she will have to sacrifice her son. To save the world, she leaves her child at a riverbank and hides the ninth Granth herself.
Present Day
24 years later, Ambika instructs her ashram followers to return her son after 24 years, as he alone can defeat the dark force. By now, the evil power has already collected six of the nine Granths. Ambika’s ashram sends Vibha to find her son, Veda, using mind-reading techniques. Veda has been guided and tested by nature throughout his life.
Currently, Veda is involved in a fight with a gang. During the chaos, Vibha steps in to protect him, and together they hide. Veda begins developing feelings for Vibha while discovering his abilities. Meanwhile, the dark force, revealed to be Lama, has already gained the powers of seven Granths. Lama killed anyone who tried to stop him and continues to collect the remaining Granths.
Veda initially refuses to believe Vibha about his destiny, but through clever use of mind-reading and guidance from Ambika’s ashram, he slowly begins to understand the gravity of the situation. Along the way, he unknowingly performs acts of goodness, like saving two children tied inside a stolen car, which shows his inherent heroism.
Mirai Movie Story Continued
In the present, the stars in the sky form an image of Lord Ram, signaling Vibha that it’s the right time to reveal the truth to Veda. Vibha instructs Veda to meditate in a specific posture, as Ambika had left a message in his memories or a path to reach the Mii Astra. During meditation, Veda hears Ambika’s voice assuring him that she will never leave him alone and that he must find the Mii. Only then can they both confront the dark forces. Veda now fully trusts Vibha and his mother Ambika, and he is ready to retrieve the Mii.
Meanwhile, in Morocco, Lama—the dark force—discovers that the eighth Granth possesses immense power after someone caused a mountain collapse days earlier. Lama kills the guardians of the eighth Granth and now possesses its powers. At the same time, Yuka arrives at Ambika’s ashram, planting a tracker on Vibha’s pigeon and killing everyone at the ashram. Vibha realizes that Lama has destroyed Ambika’s followers and immediately sets out to reach Veda.
Outside, an inspector is tracking Vibha through the tracker, planning to arrest her. Yuka appears and kills several police officers, but the inspector is forced to bring Yuka to Vibha and Veda. Vibha informs Veda that all enemies have been eliminated and that he must now take charge. Yuka tries to attack Veda, but Vibha bravely intervenes, distracting Yuka and allowing Veda to escape.
Veda then meditates again and receives guidance from Rishi Agastya, who explains that the path to the Mii Astra will appear naturally when Veda is ready. A map forms on Veda’s chest, showing the way. Following the map, Veda reaches the final village before the Himalayas—the last stage of the journey. Here, the protective bird from Treta Yuga, Sanpatti, tests Veda. In the past, Sanpatti and Jatayu had helped Lord Ram protect the weapon. Veda must gain Sanpatti’s trust by showing his intentions are pure. Successfully touching the bird’s head, Veda earns its guidance, leading him to the Mii Astra.
Initially, Mii appears as a normal stick with no visible power. Rishi Agastya arrives to guide Veda, explaining that this is Lord Ram’s first weapon. Veda must merge with Mii and gain its trust to harness its full abilities. They travel to the exact location where Ram first used the Mii Astra, preparing for the ultimate confrontation.
Meanwhile, Vibha has been tortured by Lama’s men but cleverly provides false information to waste their time. Lama explains his tragic past: his mother was branded insane, his father remarried, and the villagers mistreated him throughout childhood. This led him to anger and vengeance, burning down his village and targeting anyone in his way. He desires a world without discrimination but only through absolute control and power, which makes him a formidable enemy.
Veda reaches the battleground where Yuka and her 50 henchmen attack him. The bird Sanpatti intervenes, saving Veda’s life and allowing him to continue. Lama, now immortal and wielding the powers of multiple Granths, seems unbeatable. At this moment, Veda realizes he lacks the justice stick, Lord Ram’s Gandir (bow). The Mii Astra transforms into a bow, and Veda uses it to break all of Lama’s magic and finally defeat him.
The movie ends with Lord Ram appearing, blessing Veda, and signaling the restoration of balance. The evil has been vanquished, the Granths are safe, and Veda, guided by his mother’s sacrifices, emerges as the true hero.
Vibha explains to Veda that a dark power is after all nine Granths and that he must retrieve the mystical weapon to save the world. Gradually, Veda starts trusting Vibha and accepts his role in the impending battle.
In his X account on Sunday, director Ram Gopal Varma praised the movie and thanked the actors and crew on its success. After watching #Mirai, he remarked, “I can’t recall the last time VFX felt so magnificent, even in the so-called + 400 cr movies.” Hello, @HeroManoj1 After viewing your amazing depiction, I smacked myself for believing you were miscast as the antagonist. Hello, @tejasajja123 I was doubly mistaken when I assumed you would appear too youthful to handle such a significant activity.
