The Director of the group of various private limited companies, Dipankar Roy is a result-driven and self-motivated business leader. Directing the operations of the companies like Tech Data Solution, Tech Data Technologies, Projection Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd and Hope Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, he has proven his extraordinary ability to develop and strengthen the management team to maximize the profitability in the business. He began his entrepreneurial voyage in 1992, by incepting his very first startup venture- Care Systems & Services in the field of share market index. The era of ’90s was brimming with opportunities in this domain and acknowledging these, Mr Dipankar commenced the business operations like IPO, dividend warrant, Pan card processing & Exide warranty card. But, ten years later, this segment witnessed a rapid decline that made it hard to survive in the market for most of the relevant companies. Around in 2004, he recognized that Banks are also planning to outsource their regular activities, and this was the moment when he shifted the inclination of his organization towards banking solution activities. This shift of the business operations concluded in the incorporation of Tech Data Solution.
Sailing through the adversities
Brought up in Kolkata, Mr Dipankar made a detour in his professional journey from being a pharma representative to an IT professional. He delved into the IT segment by commencing Care Systems & Services. Reminiscing his struggling days, he says that it was crucial for him to get support from his family as his father was a central Govt servant. He pursued his studies by earning from tuitions. But, his zeal to prove himself kept him motivated to move ahead only.
“According to Mr. Dipankar, there is only one person whom he looks up to for guidance and mentorship- Mr. Barun Das, who was the Senior Vice President of Exide Industries and Director of all its subsidiaries. It was the inspiration instilled by Mr. Das only, that stirred the idea of delving into banking support activities that resulted in Tech Data Solution. “
As his dynamic experience in the relevant domain expanded, he commenced multiple companies that are into the diverse domains of the business world. Projection Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. is excelling heights in the real-estate business and Hope Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is one of the leading firms in Advertising Agencies. Yet another firm was incorporated by him in 2005, Ayush Management Services. It has been serving in business manpower support & payroll management for the past 10 years.
