As the date for the much-anticipated Ram Mandir consecration ceremony on January 22 approaches, Ayodhya is witnessing a surge in visitors, resulting in a scarcity of accommodation options. Thousands of people are expected to attend the event, leading to hotels being either sold out or available at significantly elevated rates.
EaseMyTrip, a travel service provider, revealed the escalating trend, stating, “Leading up to the inauguration, Ayodhya’s hotels are fully booked, enabling them to leverage increased pricing. Occupancy rates have risen from 80% to 100%, resulting in substantial price hikes, reaching up to ₹70,000 per night in select hotels.”
