In a landmark move, India’s leading auto-tech platform, CARS24, announced the acquisition of Team-BHP, the country’s most trusted automotive forum, on April 23, 2025. This strategic investment aims to blend CARS24’s technological prowess with Team-BHP’s community-driven ethos, revolutionizing how Indian car enthusiasts engage with automotive content.
Founded in 2004 by Rush Parekh, Team-BHP has grown into India’s largest automotive forum, boasting over 4.5 million posts and 20 million annual visitors. Known for its unbiased reviews, detailed ownership experiences, and strict no-sponsored-content policy, the platform has earned unmatched credibility. Post-acquisition, Team-BHP will continue to operate independently under its founding team, preserving its community-first approach and rigorous moderation.
CARS24, valued at $3.3 billion in 2021, plans to enhance Team-BHP’s product, technology, and AI capabilities, introducing advanced tools for smarter automotive decision-making. “Team-BHP is not just a forum, it’s an institution,” said Vikram Chopra, CEO of CARS24. “This is a long-term investment in empowering India’s auto ecosystem with sharper conversations and deeper trust.”
The acquisition aligns with CARS24’s expansion strategy, following its foray into new car aggregation and the launch of LOANS24 and a driving school discovery platform. With the Indian used car market projected to reach $73.52 billion by 2030, this move strengthens CARS24’s position against competitors like Spinny and Droom.
Rush Parekh emphasized, “With CARS24’s technology layered into our platform, we can build with more scale and depth, while staying true to our independence and integrity.” As CARS24 and Team-BHP join forces, India’s automotive community is set for a tech-driven, trust-led future.
