Deepinder Goyal seeks collaboration with product leaders to leverage AI as a “second brain.”
Zomato Datalabs in-article icon Deepinder Goyal, CEO and founder, has stated that he wants to collaborate with business and product leaders that use artificial intelligence as a second brain.
Deepinder Goyal Calls for Collaboration with Product Leaders Embracing AI Technology
In his X post, Goyal invited anyone to contact him via email, writing, “I am looking to work with business and product leaders who have already begun using AI as their second brain.” If you are the one, please contact me at [email protected].
This is not the first time Goyal has made similar recruiting statements over the X.
Even in 2024, Goyal sought a chief of staff with the uncommon requirement of contributing INR 20 lakh to charity as part of the application procedure.
A total of 10,000 applications were sent, however the entrepreneur later retrieved them, stating that he was seeking for real individuals who were not swayed by money.
Last year, Zomato began employing AI to provide clients with ease and personalization through a chatbot or assistant known as Zomato AI.
However, in September, the business prohibited the use of AI-generated graphics on its restaurant partners’ menus and marketing materials to avoid misleading ads.
Just a day earlier, the founder used the shareholders’ letter to highlight critical data about the company’s delivery partners and their profitability in 2024.
He mentioned that over 15 lakh partners decided to work with Zomato in 2024, with an average monthly earnings of around INR 28,000 during an 8-hour shift.
“Even when factoring in estimated fuel costs (around INR 5,000 per month), this income remains highly competitive compared to other available options to them,” says Deepinder.
The creator also stated that all delivery partners are immediately protected by Zomato’s delivery partner insurance coverage, which provides benefits for accidents, death, and health-related difficulties. Notably, the corporation began piloting this insurance option in 2022.
Goyal mentioned that the corporation paid out more than INR 53 crore in claims each year, with around 55% of these claims covering non-accident medical bills.
It is worth noting that the Budget 2025 includes a social security system for one crore gig workers using internet platforms. This project intends to offer these individuals with identity cards and make it easier for them to register on the e-Shram platform, which is specifically developed for unorganized workers.
In turn, these gig workers would be eligible for healthcare benefits under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), which provides coverage of up to INR 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation.
