Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned his loss, stating, “Dr. Kasturirangan’s visionary leadership steered India’s space programme to new heights. His contributions to education and science will inspire generations.” President Droupadi Murmu echoed, “His passion for knowledge shaped the next generation.”
Kasturirangan’s body will be kept at the Raman Research Institute (RRI) in Bengaluru on April 27, 2025, from 10 AM to noon for public respects. His passing marks the end of an era for India’s scientific community.
