Honor Launches Feature-Packed Honor 100 Series with 50-Megapixel Front Camera and Robust Battery

Honor, the renowned smartphone manufacturer, has officially unveiled its latest flagship series, the Honor 100, in China. The lineup comprises two models, the Honor 100 and the Honor 100 Pro, both boasting a 50-megapixel front camera and a massive 5,000mAh battery. Let’s dive into the details.
Cutting-Edge Display and Design:
The Honor 100 series introduces stunning 120Hz full-HD+ OLED quad-curved displays. The base model, Honor 100, features a 6.7-inch screen, while the Pro variant, Honor 100 Pro, sports a larger 6.78-inch display. The displays promise a peak brightness level of up to 2,600 nits and a PWM dimming rate of 3,840Hz, ensuring a visually immersive experience.
Powerful Performance:
Under the hood, the Honor 100 is powered by the robust Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro variant steps up the game with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Both models run on Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2, providing a smooth and responsive user experience.
Camera Capabilities:
A standout feature of the Honor 100 series is its 50-megapixel front camera, delivering stunning selfie and video call capabilities. The Honor 100 Pro takes it a step further with an additional 2-megapixel depth sensor for enhanced imaging. The rear camera setup on both models includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and an LED flash unit.
The Pro variant of the Honor 100 series boasts a triple rear camera configuration, featuring the same sensors as the base model, along with a 32-megapixel OIS-supported telephoto shooter with 2.5x optical zoom and an impressive 50x hybrid zoom.
Pricing and Availability:
The Honor 100 series offers a range of configurations to cater to different user preferences. The base Honor 100 comes in three variants – 12GB + 256GB at CNY 2,499, 16GB + 256GB at CNY 2,799, and 16GB + 512GB at CNY 2,999. The higher-end Honor 100 Pro starts at CNY 3,399 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, with options for 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage, priced at CNY 3,699, CNY 3,999, and CNY 4,399, respectively.
Pre-orders for the Honor 100 series have already begun in China, and the devices are set to go on sale from December 1. Interested buyers can make their purchases through the official Honor online store, TMall, and JD sites.
Connectivity and Battery:
Both models support dual nano-SIM, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC connectivity. In terms of security, the smartphones are equipped with in-display fingerprint sensors. The series packs a robust 5,000mAh battery, complemented by 100W wired fast charging support. Additionally, the Honor 100 Pro takes it a step further with 66W wireless charging capabilities.
